JATIMTIMES - Salat Jumat terpanjang dan termegah yang di dalam sejarah adalah salat Jumat yang dilakukan sebelum menaklukkan Konstantinopel yang dipimpin oleh Muhammad Al-Fatih di tahun 1453.

Saat penaklukan Konstantinopel, Muhammad Al-Fatih membawa 250.000 mujahid dan ratusan kapal untuk membebaskan Konstantinopel.

Sebelum melakukan penyerangan, Al Fatih tetap melaksanakan salat Jumat bersama seluruh pasukannya. 

Yang menariknya, saat memilih imam salat Jumat, Al Fatih tidak langsung mengajukan diri. Melainkan ia mengajukan pertanyaan kepada para pasukannya. Yang pertama adalah siapa yang pernah meninggalkan salat fardu dari akhir baligh sampai sekarang maka dipersilahkan untuk duduk. Sontak saja, dari pasukan Al Fatih tidak ada satupun yang duduk.

Sementara untuk pertanyaan yang kedua adalah "siapa dari kalian yang pernah meninggalkan salat rawatib dari akhir baligh sampai sekarang maka dipersilahkan untuk duduk. 

Kemudian ada beberapa pasukan Al Fatih yang duduk dan ada juga beberapa yang masih berdiri.

Lalu untuk yang terakhir adalah siapa dari kalian yang pernah meninggalkan salat tahajjud dari akhir baligh sampai sekarang maka dipersilahkan untuk duduk. 

Sontak semua pasukan Al Fatih duduk dan tersisa Al Fatih yang masih berdiri dengan tegak.

Dari pertanyaan itu, Al Fatih lah yang paling pantas untuk menjadi imam salat Jumat tersebut. 

Muhammad Al-Fatih dikenal seorang yang taat, sejak kecil sudah terbiasa dengan salat dan malamnya selalu bermunajat kepada Allah. Ketika berkuasa, beliau membangun 300 masjid besar atau sedang, 57 madrasah, 59 tempat pemandian di berbagai wilayah Utsmani termasuk Istanbul.

Dalam catatan sejarah, salat Jumat yang dipimpin Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih ini merupakan salat Jumat terbesar yang pernah terjadi pada 1453. Salat Jumat ini digelar di jalan menuju Konstantinopel dengan jamaah yang membentang sepanjang 4 Kilometer dari Pantai Marmara hingga Selat Golden Horn di Utara.
