JATIMTIMES - Maestro seni Kota Batu Djoeari Soebarja memilih Galeri Raos untuk menjadi saksi perjalanan karyanya selama puluhan tahun lewat pameran tunggal Cloud Maker. Pameran ini merupakan kali ketujuh Djoeari menggelar ekshibisi tunggal setelah berpameran di beberapa daerah dan luar negeri.
Dalam pameran yang dibuka 13-28 Juli 2024 itu, Djoeari ingin berbagi pengalaman dan saling menginspirasi lewat karya seni rupa. Cak Djoe, sapaannya, sebagai seniman asli Kota Batu sudah berkesenian sejak 1977 atau lebih dari 47 tahun.

Puluhan karya yang ditampilkan mayoritas beraliran realis yang dihasilkan sejak tahun 1977 hingga sekarang. Eksplorasi tema dan gaya goresan seniman senior Pondok Seni Batu itu diperlihatkan pada kanvas-kanvas yang mayoritas juga berukuran besar.
"Pameran ini sebenarnya bertujuan agar saya bisa berkaca selama sekian tahun berkesenian, seperti apa, apakah begini-begini saja, apa nggak berubah. Bisa sehingga karya-karya ini bisa merepresentasikan itu," jelas Djoeari.
Dalam pameran ini, Djoeari juga meluncurkan biografi tentang dirinya yang ditulis oleh sekitar 37 orang rekan, seniman, akademisi hingga pelaku pemerintahan tentang dirinya. Ia tak ingin pameran tunggal ketujuhnya itu kurang spesial jika hanya disertai katalog.
"Pameran ini memang ingin beda dari yang dulu-dulu. Didampingi buku biografi beberapa catatan tulisan teman teman tentang saya," jelasnya.
Ia sengaja menempatkan karya-karya terbaik berdasarkan angka tahun pembuatan dari setiap tahap perjalanannya berkesenian. Karyanya yang berusia 47 tahun juga ditampilkan dengan dipoles ulang setelah ditempel pada kanvas baru dan menjadi salah satu yang cukup ikonik.
Sebagai representasi dan saksi perjalanan seni rupa Cak Djoe di Kota Batu, pameran ini juga tepat sebulan setelah ulang tahun ke-65 dirinya yang dimaknai sebagai usia untuk bertindak lebih bijaksana dan bermanfaat. Dikatakan, Cloud Maker menandai rasa syukur telah konsisten berkarya, berpameran, mengajar, dan berorganisasi seni.

Djoeari juga ingin berbagi cerita dan pengalaman melalui penerbitan buku Djoeari Soebardja sang penebar virus (2024) yang diterbitkan penerbit Nyala berisi 30 judul kontribusi. Sekaligus ia membuka ruang bersilaturahmi dan berdiskusi kesenian yang saling menginspirasi dalam karya-karya rupa.
Ada sebanyak 23 karya lukis dan 11 sketsa, hasil karya siswa, arsip buku, katalog, video pembelajaran dan dokumen lainnya. Menariknya, karya realis Djoe beberapa bercirikan lukisan detail dan tampak sangat teliti yang menunjukkan proses yang tak instan.
Pameran ini dibuka setiap harinya hingga 28 Juli dengan biaya masuk Rp10 ribu per orang. Djoeari juga kerap melayani diskusi dengan kelompok seniman muda dan siswa sekolah.
"Saya ingin berbagi dengan pengalaman dengan teman-teman juga saling mengisi masukan. Selain agar bisa dinikmati semua orang pada usia karya yang sudah sampai sekarang," imbuhnya.
