245 Hektare Lahan Pertanian di Donomulyo Terdampak Kekeringan

JATIMTIMES - Kondisi kekeringan di wilayah Kecamatan Donomulyo  berdampak pada lahan pertanian masyarakat di beberapa desa. Setidaknya jelang akhir Oktober 2024, pihak Pemerintah Kecamatan Donomulyo mencatat lahan pertanian seluas 245 hektare terdampak kekeringan. 

Hal itu disampaikan Camat Donomulyo Nurmawan Wibowo. Menurut Nurmawan, karena musim kemarau yang panjang, terdapat beberapa desa di Kecamatan Donomulyo, khususnya di bagian selatan, mengalami dampak kekeringan. Mulai dari Desa Sumberoto, Mentaraman, Purwodadi, hingga Tulungrejo. 

"Di Tulungrejo ini ada fenomena alam sumber umbulan Sengkaring itu ada penurunan debit air. Sehingga tidak bisa muncul ke atas berimbas kepada pengairan irigasi (lahan pertanian masyarakat)," ungkap Nurmawan. 

Padahal, beberapa bulan yang lalu memasuki masa tanam. Para petani pun berupaya membuat sumur buatan menggunakan mesin pompa air untuk memenuhi air guna mengairi lahan pertanian masyarakat. 

Namun, dengan adanya kondisi musim kemarau panjang ini, lahan pertanian masyarakat di Kecamatan Donomulyo mengalami gagal panen. 

"Kalau sampai saat ini memang kondisinya banyak bisa dikatakan gagal panen. Karena beberapa usia tanamanmya yang sudah masuk masa panennya itu kering, kekurangan air," kata Nurmawan. 

Pihaknya menyebut, musim kemarau panjang ini menyebabkan sekitar 245 hektare lahan pertanian masyarakat terdampak. Khususnya lahan pertanian padi di wilayah Desa Tulungrejo yang selama ini memanfaatkan air dari sumber sengkaring yang mengering sejak beberapa waktu lalu. 

"Itu ada sekitar 245 hektare (terdampak kekeringan), khususnya di Tulungrejo, yakni pertanian padi. Memang masyarakat mengandalkan dari irigasi sumbernya dari umbul Sengkaring," jelas Nurmawan. 

Nurmawan mengaku, saat ini pihaknya menunggu hasil kajian dari Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Sumber Daya Air (PUSDA) Kabupaten Malang mengenai menyerangnya sumber Sengkaring. 

"Nanti kita lihat bagaimana kondisi sampai awal November yang menurut BMKG masuk musim hujan. Kalau misalkan hujan ini turun, kemudian debit air di sumber bisa naik  berarti kan fenomena alam ini bisa dikatakan karena kemarau panjang sehingga debitnya turun. Tapi kalau itu tidak muncul, berarti kan ada fenomena pergeseran tanah atau lain sebagainya," beber Nurmawan. 

Sementara itu, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih bagi masyarakat di wilayah Desa Sumberoto, Mentaraman, Purwodadi, hingga Tulungrejo, pihak Pemerintah Kecamatan Donomulyo secara intensif berkoordinasi dengan Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Malang dan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kabupaten Malang.
