Perbincangan mengenai sosok berinisial SAM mencuat setelah tim kuasa hukum korban mengungkap sejumlah informasi terkait laporan yang diajukan ke Bareskrim Polri.
Tim pengacara korban yang diwakili oleh Beny Jehadu menyebut bahwa terlapor merupakan seorang tokoh agama yang cukup dikenal publik dan kerap tampil di layar televisi.
“Tentu terlapor ini inisialnya SAM. Beliau ini sering mengisi salah satu acara di TV swasta. Ya, tentu judul daripada acara yang diisi sama Beliau ini salah satunya Damai Indonesiaku dan juga ada program-program lain juga yang beliau isi di beberapa TV di stasiun Swasta,” kata Benny, dikutip TikTok @SelebOncamNews.

Di luar polemik yang sedang ramai diperbincangkan, Syekh Ahmad Al-Misry dikenal sebagai ulama sekaligus pendakwah yang cukup populer di Indonesia.
Ia berasal dari Mesir dan telah lama menetap di Indonesia untuk berdakwah serta menyebarkan literatur keislaman.
Meski berasal dari Timur Tengah, Syekh Ahmad Al-Misry diketahui telah tinggal cukup lama di Indonesia hingga fasih berbahasa Indonesia. Kemampuan tersebut membuat ceramah dan kajian yang ia sampaikan mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat luas.

Salah satu yang paling dikenal adalah saat dirinya dipercaya menjadi juri utama dalam program kompetisi hafalan Al-Qur’an anak-anak Hafiz Indonesia yang tayang di RCTI.
Dalam program tersebut, ia berperan memberikan penilaian terkait tajwid, kelancaran hafalan, sekaligus memberikan motivasi spiritual kepada para peserta.
Selain itu, Syekh Ahmad Al-Misry juga tercatat sebagai penceramah reguler dalam program Damai Indonesiaku yang tayang di tvOne hingga tahun 2026.
Ia juga kerap tampil di berbagai program religi lain selama bulan Ramadhan, seperti Shodaqoh Yuk! di RTV serta menjadi narasumber dalam program Khazanah dan Jazirah Islam di Trans7.
Gegara hal ini, sejumlah warganet bahkan menyoroti akun Instagram Syekh Ahmad Al-Misry. Beberapa pengguna media sosial menyebut kolom komentar pada akun tersebut kini dibatasi.
Namun hingga saat ini belum ada klarifikasi resmi dari pihak Syekh Ahmad Al-Misry terkait isu yang berkembang di media sosial tersebut.
Sementara itu, aparat kepolisian masih mendalami laporan dugaan pelecehan seksual dengan inisial Ustaz SAM yang telah diajukan ke Bareskrim Polri. Identitas terlapor pun hingga kini belum diumumkan secara resmi oleh pihak berwenang.
