JATIMTIMES Stunting di Kabupaten Malang terus menunjukkan tren positif yang berarti berbagai upaya yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Kabupaten Malang bersama seluruh stakeholder menunjukkan hasil yang baik.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Malang drg. Wiyanto Wijoyo menyampaikan, pada bulan timbang Agustus 2025 lalu, prevalensi stunting di Kabupaten Malang sebesar 6,52 persen. Data itu diperoleh dari rekapitulasi data bulan timbang yang berasal dari 39 puskesmas di Kabupaten Malang.

"Prevalensi stunting di Kabupaten Malang pada bulan timbang Agustus 2025 lalu sebesar 6,52 persen. Kemudian di bulan timbang Februari 2026 stunting sebesar 5,85 persen. Sehingga stunting di Kabupaten Malang turun 0,67 persen," ungkap Wiyanto kepada JatimTIMES.com.
Pihaknya menyebut, dalam satu tahun terdapat dua bulan yang digunakan untuk merekapitulasi data prevalensi stunting dari 39 puskesmas. Yakni bulan timbang di Bulan Februari dan Bulan Agustus.
Wiyanto menyebut, Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Malang terus menjalin sinergi dengan berbagai perangkat daerah di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Malang, kader kesehatan, kader pos pelayanan terpadu (posyandu), serta seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk menurunkan prevalensi stunting.
Mulai dari pemberian paket bantuan makan tambahan kepada para balita yang terindikasi stunting, pemberian edukasi mengenai stunting kepada para calon ibu, ibu hamil maupun ibu menyusui, hingga pendampingan dari kader kesehatan untuk memantau perkembangan kesehatan para balita yang terindikasi stunting.

Namun, dari data prevalensi stunting pada bulan timbang Februari 2026, terdapat beberapa wilayah kerja puskesmas di Kabupaten Malang yang prevalensi stuntingnya di atas 10 persen. Di antaranya di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sumbermanjing Wetan 15,9 persen; Puskesmas Pujon 12,3 persen; Puskesmas Karangploso 12,0 persen; serta Puskesmas Bululawang 10,6 persen. "Ya nanti di bulan Agustus akan ada bulan timbang kembali. Target kami untuk prevalensi stunting bisa terus menurun," ujar Wiyanto.
Lebih lanjut, Wiyanto menuturkan, di tahun 2026 ini juga akan ada Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) dari Kementerian Kesehatan RI. Di mana untuk program kegiatan SSGI ini akan mengambil sampel kondisi gizi balita di masing-masing wilayah di Kabupaten Malang. "Kalau yang SSGI ini kemarin sekitar 20 persen lebih, lah target kami angka survei stunting melalui SSGI bisa turun di bawah 20 persen," pungkas Wiyanto.
