JATIMTIMES - Kota Malang mengalami inflasi tahunan (year on year/y-on-y) sebesar 2,7 persen pada April 2026 berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Malang, dengan kenaikan Indeks Harga Konsumen (IHK) menjadi 111,09.
Inflasi ini terjadi akibat meningkatnya harga sejumlah komoditas utama seperti emas perhiasan, beras, minyak goreng, dan daging ayam ras.

Kenaikan inflasi ini didorong oleh peningkatan harga di hampir seluruh kelompok pengeluaran. Di antaranya melompok perawatan pribadi dan jasa lainnya mencatat kenaikan tertinggi sebesar 13,93 persen, disusul makanan, minuman, dan tembakau sebesar 3,27 persen serta sektor kesehatan sebesar 2,74 persen.
Selain itu, kelompok pakaian dan alas kaki mengalami kenaikan 2,36 persen, diikuti pendidikan sebesar 1,78 persen serta rekreasi, olahraga, dan budaya sebesar 1,73 persen. Sementara kelompok penyediaan makanan dan minuman/restoran naik 1,61 persen, perlengkapan rumah tangga 1,41 persen, transportasi 1,01 persen, serta perumahan dan utilitas sebesar 0,55 persen.
Ada juga kelompok informasi, komunikasi, dan jasa keuangan menjadi yang paling rendah kenaikannya, yakni 0,45 persen. Secara keseluruhan, hampir seluruh sektor memberikan kontribusi terhadap laju inflasi di Kota Malang.
Kepala BPS Kota Malang, Umar Sjaifudin, menjelaskan bahwa sejumlah komoditas utama menjadi pendorong inflasi tahunan. “Komoditas yang dominan memberikan andil inflasi antara lain emas perhiasan, daging ayam ras, beras, minyak goreng, sigaret kretek mesin, dan telur ayam ras,” kata Umar, Senin (4/5/2026).
Sementara itu, secara bulanan (month to month/m-to-m), Kota Malang juga mengalami inflasi sebesar 0,05 persen pada April 2026. Komoditas seperti minyak goreng, air kemasan, angkutan udara, jagung manis, beras, dan daging sapi menjadi penyumbang utama kenaikan harga pada periode ini.
Dari sisi kontribusi kelompok pengeluaran terhadap inflasi tahunan, makanan, minuman, dan tembakau menyumbang 0,92 persen, diikuti perawatan pribadi dan jasa lainnya sebesar 0,9 persen. Kelompok restoran menyumbang 0,18 persen, pendidikan 0,14 persen, serta transportasi dan pakaian masing-masing sebesar 0,13 persen.

Kelompok kesehatan memberikan andil sebesar 0,10 persen, sementara perlengkapan rumah tangga serta perumahan masing-masing menyumbang 0,07 persen. Adapun rekreasi, olahraga, dan budaya menyumbang 0,04 persen serta informasi dan komunikasi sebesar 0,02 persen.
Secara kumulatif, inflasi tahun kalender (year to date/y-to-d) Kota Malang hingga April 2026 tercatat sebesar 1,04 persen. Angka ini sedikit berbeda dibanding periode yang sama tahun sebelumnya yang mencapai 1,07 persen.
Umar menambahkan, tren inflasi tahun ini menunjukkan peningkatan dibanding tahun-tahun sebelumnya. “Pada April 2025 inflasi y-on-y sebesar 1,15 persen dan April 2024 sebesar 1,01 persen, sehingga tahun ini terlihat ada kenaikan yang perlu dicermati,” tutup Umar.
