JATIMTIMES - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) mengumumkan perubahan nama salah satu layanan kereta api andalannya. Mulai 9 Mei 2026, KA Argo Bromo Anggrek resmi berganti nama menjadi KA Anggrek .
Informasi tersebut disampaikan langsung oleh KAI melalui akun Instagram resminya pada Selasa (5/5). Dalam pengumuman itu, KAI menegaskan bahwa perubahan ini merupakan bagian dari penyederhanaan identitas layanan tanpa mengubah aspek operasional.

“Mulai tanggal 9 Mei 2026, KA Argo Bromo Anggrek hadir dengan identitas baru menjadi KA Anggrek,” tulis KAI dalam unggahan resminya.
KAI menjelaskan bahwa pergantian nama ini mengusung semangat baru dengan tema “Nama Baru, Semangat Baru”. Meski demikian, perusahaan memastikan tidak ada perubahan pada jadwal perjalanan maupun kelas layanan yang tersedia bagi penumpang.
Nama “Anggrek” dipilih sebagai simbol keteguhan, kemampuan beradaptasi, serta ketenangan. KAI berharap identitas baru ini tetap mencerminkan layanan yang elegan, namun lebih sederhana dan mudah diingat oleh masyarakat.
Menurut KAI, perubahan ini bukan berarti meninggalkan sejarah panjang KA Argo Bromo Anggrek. Sebaliknya, langkah ini justru dimaksudkan untuk merangkum warisan layanan yang sudah melekat di hati pelanggan.
Bagi penumpang yang sudah membeli tiket dengan nama KA Argo Bromo Anggrek, tidak perlu khawatir. KAI memastikan seluruh tiket yang telah terbit tetap sah digunakan. Penumpang tetap bisa melakukan perjalanan menggunakan KA Anggrek sesuai jadwal dan kelas layanan yang sebelumnya dipilih.
“Setiap penumpang yang telah memiliki tiket KA Argo Bromo Anggrek, tiket tetap dapat dipergunakan pada KA Anggrek sesuai jadwal dan kelas pelayanan yang dipilih,” tulis KAI.
Pengumuman pergantian nama ini muncul di tengah perhatian publik terhadap rangkaian KA Argo Bromo Anggrek yang dalam beberapa waktu terakhir terlibat sejumlah insiden.

Salah satunya terjadi pada Jumat (1/5) dini hari di Desa Sidorejo, Pulokulon, Grobogan, Jawa Tengah. Dalam kejadian tersebut, kereta menabrak mobil pengantar haji di perlintasan sebidang, yang mengakibatkan lima orang meninggal dunia.
Sebelumnya, pada Senin (27/4) malam, rangkaian kereta ini juga terlibat kecelakaan dengan KRL di Stasiun Bekasi Timur. Insiden bermula ketika KRL berhenti akibat tertemper kendaraan di perlintasan, lalu KA Argo Bromo Anggrek yang melintas tidak sempat berhenti penuh dan akhirnya menabrak rangkaian tersebut.
Tragedi di Bekasi Timur itu menyebabkan korban jiwa mencapai 16 orang, dengan puluhan lainnya mengalami luka-luka dan menjalani perawatan.
Meski bertepatan dengan sorotan tersebut, KAI menegaskan bahwa perubahan nama menjadi KA Anggrek tidak berkaitan langsung dengan rangkaian kejadian kecelakaan yang terjadi sebelumnya.
