JATIMTIMES - Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Kota Malang mengimbau masyarakat meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap potensi penyebaran hantavirus, terutama saat musim hujan maupun cuaca panas yang memicu debu dan aerosol dari lingkungan kotor.

Kepala Dinkes Kota Malang dr Husnul Muarif mengingatkan warga agar menggunakan alat pelindung saat membersihkan gorong-gorong, irigasi, maupun area yang berpotensi menjadi sarang tikus dan pengerat.

“Kalau membersihkan gorong-gorong atau irigasi harus memakai pelindung sepatu yang tinggi. Sehingga kalau ada tikus, air kencing, atau kotorannya tidak sampai terkontaminasi ke tubuh kita,” ujar Husnul.

Selain penggunaan alat pelindung, masyarakat juga diminta menjaga daya tahan tubuh agar tidak mudah terpapar penyakit. Menurut Husnul, pemerintah pusat melalui Kementerian Kesehatan juga masih menyiapkan panduan penanganan dan kewaspadaan hantavirus bagi daerah.

“Ini memang sudah menjadi concern pemerintah, dalam hal ini Kementerian Kesehatan. Nanti akan ada guidance atau petunjuk untuk provinsi maupun kabupaten/kota,” jelasnya.

Husnul menambahkan, faktor cuaca panas maupun El Nino tidak secara langsung menjadi penyebab utama hantavirus. Namun kondisi tersebut dapat memicu penyebaran partikel dari kotoran atau cairan tubuh tikus melalui udara.

“Dengan udara panas dan penguapan itu, aerosol dari air kencing, air liur, maupun kotoran tikus bisa beterbangan. Karena itu, penggunaan masker menjadi langkah sederhana dan paling utama,” terangnya.

Saat ini, Dinkes Kota Malang menyebut belum menemukan kasus hantavirus di wilayah Kota Malang. Meski demikian, masyarakat diminta tetap waspada dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.

“Mudah-mudahan tidak ditemukan. Kita tetap waspada dan terus memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat,” pungkas Husnul.
