JATIMTIMES – Polsek Boyolangu mendatangi lokasi kebakaran dapur/pawon rumah milik Teguh Santoso yang beralamaf di RT 03, RW 02, Dusun Utara, Desa Gedangsewu, Kecamatan Boyolangu, Kabupaten Tulungagung, Kamis (14/05/2026) dini hari. Kapolsek Boyolangu AKP Retno Pujiarsih mengatakan, pihaknya menerima laporan kejadian kebakaran sekitar pukul 00.30 WIB.

Berdasarkan keterangan saksi bernama Kalis Suryoko, sekitar pukul 00.15 WIB dirinya hendak tidur namun mendengar suara seperti kayu terbakar. Karena curiga, Kalis keluar rumah untuk mencari sumber suara dan melihat kepulan asap dari arah rumah korban.

“Saksi kemudian menghampiri rumah korban dan melihat api berasal dari arah dapur, selanjutnya berusaha membangunkan pemilik rumah serta melaporkan kejadian ke Polsek Boyolangu dan menghubungi petugas pemadam kebakaran," ucap AKP Retno Pujiarsih.

Dari hasil pemeriksaan di lokasi, kebakaran diduga dipicu korsleting arus listrik dari stop kontak kabel sambungan lampu penerangan kandang unggas yang menempel pada gawang kayu rumah.

"Kondisi stop kontak yang kendur dan sering mengeluarkan percikan api diduga memicu terbakarnya bagian kayu, kemudian api merambat ke tumpukan kayu bakar di sekitar dapur," ungkapnya. 

Dalam kejadian ini tidak terdapat korban jiwa. Namun kerugian material ditaksir mencapai sekitar Rp 20 juta. "Kami mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu memeriksa instalasi listrik di rumah secara berkala guna menghindari potensi korsleting yang dapat menyebabkan kebakaran," tuturnya.

Kebakaran yang terjadi sempat menjadi perhatian warga sekitar dan diantaranya memberikan bantuan sebelum tim damkar datang ke lokasi
