JATIMTIMES - Mobilitas masyarakat Jawa Timur pada April 2026 menunjukkan tren yang beragam. Di tengah menurunnya jumlah penumpang pesawat dan kereta api, angkutan laut justru mencatat lonjakan signifikan, terutama untuk keberangkatan penumpang domestik.
Dari data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Jawa Timur mencatat jumlah penumpang pesawat domestik yang datang melalui bandara-bandara di Jawa Timur mencapai 400,79 ribu orang pada April 2026. Angka tersebut turun 30,92 persen dibandingkan Maret 2026 yang mencapai 580,18 ribu penumpang.

Meski demikian, jumlah penumpang yang berangkat melalui penerbangan domestik justru meningkat 3,32 persen menjadi 498,38 ribu orang. Bandara Internasional Juanda Surabaya masih mendominasi aktivitas penerbangan di Jawa Timur dengan kontribusi lebih dari 95 persen terhadap total pergerakan penumpang domestik.
Plt. Kepala BPS Provinsi Jawa Timur, Ir. Herum Fajarwati, mengatakan dinamika sektor transportasi pada April 2026 menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tren pada masing-masing moda angkutan. Perkembangan transportasi di Jawa Timur pada April 2026 memperlihatkan tren yang cukup bervariasi.
“Pada sektor penerbangan, jumlah penumpang keberangkatan domestik mengalami peningkatan, sementara jumlah penumpang kedatangan justru mengalami penurunan dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya,” kata Herum Fajarwati.
Tak hanya penerbangan, jumlah pengguna kereta api di Jawa Timur juga mengalami penurunan. Selama April 2026, jumlah penumpang kereta api tercatat sebanyak 2,46 juta orang atau turun 4,56 persen dibandingkan Maret 2026.
Penurunan terbesar terjadi pada layanan kelas utama, sementara kelas lokal masih menjadi pilihan utama masyarakat dengan kontribusi lebih dari 65 persen terhadap total penumpang.
Di sisi lain, sektor angkutan laut menunjukkan performa yang lebih positif. Jumlah penumpang yang berangkat dari pelabuhan di Jawa Timur melonjak hingga 101,12 persen menjadi 250,46 ribu orang. Sementara jumlah kapal yang singgah di pelabuhan Jawa Timur juga meningkat 4,73 persen dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya.

Menurut Herum, dominasi sejumlah simpul transportasi utama masih terlihat kuat di Jawa Timur. Bandara Juanda menjadi pusat aktivitas penerbangan, sedangkan Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak dan Daop VIII Surabaya tetap menjadi tulang punggung sektor transportasi laut dan kereta api di provinsi ini.
“Bandara Juanda masih menjadi pintu utama transportasi udara di Jawa Timur, sedangkan Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak dan Daop VIII Surabaya tetap mendominasi aktivitas transportasi laut maupun kereta api. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peran simpul-simpul transportasi utama tersebut masih sangat strategis dalam mendukung mobilitas masyarakat dan distribusi barang di Jawa Timur,” tambahnya.
Selain pergerakan penumpang, aktivitas logistik juga menunjukkan perkembangan yang beragam. Pengiriman kargo udara domestik mengalami penurunan, sedangkan aktivitas bongkar muat barang melalui jalur laut justru meningkat, memperlihatkan masih tingginya aktivitas distribusi barang di Jawa Timur sepanjang April 2026.
