1.600 Warga Kota Malang Alami Gangguan Jiwa, Dinsos-P3AP2KB Lakukan Penanganan Terpadu

JATIMTIMES - Sebanyak 1.600 warga Kota Malang dinyatakan mengalami gangguan jiwa atau menjadi penyandang disabilitas mental yang tersebar di lima kecamatan di Kota Malang. 

Hal itu disampaikan Kepala Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Perlindungan Anak, Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (Dinsos-P3AP2KB) Kota Malang Donny Sandito Widoyoko usai meluncurkan Program Rumah Pijar (Perlindungan Jiwa dan Rasa) di Aula Kantor Kecamatan Kedungkandang.

Donny menyampaikan, berdasarkan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Kota Malang, sekitar 3.700 orang di Kota Malang telah melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan jiwa. Sekitar 1.600 orang di antaranya harus mendapatkan pengobatan lanjutan dari tenaga kesehatan. 

"Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Jota Malang, masyarakat yang berobat ke kejiwaan itu sekitar 3.700-an kemudian yang mendapatkan pengobatan kanjutan sebanyak 1.600 orang. Sehingga asumsi kami, masyarakat Kota Malang yang mengalami gangguan kejiwaan itu sekitar 1.600-an," ungkap Donny kepada JatimTIMES.com, Kamis (18/6/2026). 

Mantan Camat Kedungkandang itu menyebut, dari 1.600 orang yang harus mendapatkan pengobatan lanjutan, sebanyak 370 orang di antaranya berada di Kecamatan Sukun dan 170 orang di antaranya merupakan penyandang disabilitas mental kategori berat. "Di Kecamatan Sukun ini lumayan paling banyak, sekitar 370-an dan yang tergolong berat ada 170, itu yang kami intervensi," tutur Donny. 

Dalam melakukan intervensi maupun pendampingan terhadap penyandang disabilitas mental, pihaknya memanfaatkan Program Rumah Pijar. Di mana penanganan terhadap para penyandang disabilitas mental di Kota Malang dilakukan dengan berbasis keluarga. 

Namun, terkadang masih banyak keluarga di Kota Malang yang menutupi informasi mengenai anggota keluarganya yang menjadi penyandang disabilitas mental. Karena menurut keluarga tersebut, kondisi itu merupakan aib yang tidak boleh diketahui oleh orang-orang di luar lingkungan keluarga. 

Padahal, orang penyandang disabilitas mental dapat disembuh dengan melibatkan para psikolog klinis maupun psikiater. Karena menurut Donny, jika tidak segera mendapatkan pengobatan lanjutan, dikhawatirkan akan semakin meresahkan hingga membahayakan lingkungan sekitarnya. 

"Makanya beberapa kali kami mendapatkan informasi dari kelurahan terkait masyarakat penyandang disabilitas mental atau odgj (orang dalam gangguan jiwa) yang melakukan tindakan mengganggu keamanan dan ketertiban. Kalau dia masih punya keluarga, KK dan KTP, maka pelayanan kesehatannya disamakan dengan sakit-sakit yang lain," ujar Donny.

"Harus ada faskes pertama, di puskesmas, dan sebagainya. Kecuali kalau mereka terlantar itu baru kami koordinasikan dengan provinsi untuk rehabilitasi," imbuh Donny. 

Sehingga ia terus mengoptimalkan peran dari pilar-pilar sosial maupun para psikolog dan psikiater untuk dapat memberikan pendampingan serta membantu proses penyembuhan para penyandang disabilitas mental. 

Lebih lanjut, disinggung mengenai kondisi penyandang disabilitas mental di Kota Malang apakah ada yang sampai dipasung oleh pihak keluarga maupun masyarakat di lingkungan rumahnya, Donny menyebut ada. 

"Sebelumnya kami sudah melepaskan hampir puluhan sekitar 34 penyandang disabilitas mental, terakhir dua yang kami lepaskan, itu tahun ini. Kami berikan pendekatan ke keluarganya. Sekarang sudah tidak ada," pungkas Donny. (ADV)
