JATIMTIMES - Babak penyisihan grup Piala Dunia 2026 resmi berakhir. Sebanyak 32 tim lolos ke babak 32 besar Piala Dunia 2026 setelah bersaing ketat di 12 grup.
Sejumlah negara unggulan berhasil melaju sesuai prediksi. Sementara beberapa tim kejutan sukses mengamankan tiket ke fase gugur.

Sesuai regulasi turnamen, juara dan runner-up dari masing-masing grup otomatis lolos ke babak gugur. Delapan tiket tersisa diberikan kepada tim peringkat ketiga terbaik berdasarkan klasemen akhir fase grup.
Tiga negara berhasil menorehkan catatan sempurna sepanjang fase grup, yakni Meksiko, Prancis, dan Argentina. Ketiganya sukses menyapu bersih seluruh pertandingan dan melaju ke babak 32 besar sebagai juara grup.
Dari grup A, Meksiko keluar sebagai pemuncak klasemen. Sedangkan Afrika Selatan mendampingi sebagai runner-up. Di grup B, Swiss menjadi juara grup, diikuti Kanada. Sementara Bosnia Herzegovina lolos melalui jalur peringkat ketiga terbaik.
Brasil memimpin grup C dengan Maroko finis sebagai runner-up. Amerika Serikat menjadi juara grup D, disusul Australia. Sedangkan Paraguay berhasil mengamankan tiket melalui jalur peringkat ketiga terbaik.
