Empat dalang cilik berprestasi, kelompok karawitan, serta sekitar 150 sinden pelajar tingkat SD dan SMP yang merupakan hasil pembinaan dari Dinas Kebudayaan, Pariwisata, Kepemudaan, dan Olahraga (Disbudparpora) Kota Madiun.
JATIMTIMES - Perayaan Hari Jadi ke-108 Kota Madiun menghadirkan nuansa budaya yang kental melalui pagelaran wayang kulit bertajuk Panggung Aspirasi Budaya di depan Gedung DPRD Kota Madiun, Minggu malam (28/6/2026). Ratusan warga memadati lokasi untuk menyaksikan pertunjukan yang kali ini menampilkan generasi muda sebagai pelaku utama seni tradisi.
Pagelaran wayang kulit mengangkat lakon Gathutkaca Prawitaradha, kisah pewayangan yang sarat pesan tentang keberanian, kepahlawanan, dan pengabdian. Tak hanya menjadi tontonan, pertunjukan ini juga menjadi ruang belajar budaya bagi generasi muda.

Suasana semakin semarak dengan penampilan empat dalang cilik berprestasi, kelompok karawitan, serta sekitar 150 sinden pelajar tingkat SD dan SMP. Seluruh penampil merupakan hasil pembinaan Dinas Kebudayaan, Pariwisata, Kepemudaan, dan Olahraga (Disbudparpora) Kota Madiun.
Di balik denting gamelan dan alunan tembang para sinden muda, panggung budaya tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa regenerasi pelaku seni tradisional mulai tumbuh. Anak-anak dan remaja tampil percaya diri membawakan peran yang selama ini identik dengan seniman senior.
Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Wali Kota Madiun, F. Bagus Panuntun , mengatakan pelibatan generasi muda dalam kegiatan budaya menjadi salah satu cara untuk menjaga keberlangsungan seni tradisi di tengah perkembangan zaman.
“Melalui kegiatan ini, generasi muda diharapkan semakin mencintai budaya daerah sekaligus memiliki kebanggaan terhadap warisan leluhur,” tutur Bagus.
Ratusan warga yang memenuhi area pertunjukan tampak antusias mengikuti jalannya pagelaran hingga selesai. Penampilan para dalang cilik dan sinden pelajar beberapa kali mendapat tepuk tangan dari penonton yang menikmati pertunjukan wayang kulit di ruang terbuka tersebut.
Menurut Bagus, peringatan Hari Jadi ke-108 Kota Madiun juga menjadi momentum untuk menampilkan kekayaan budaya lokal kepada masyarakat.

"Bertepatan peringatan hari jadi Kota Madiun ini kita sajikan pagelaran yang menjunjung tinggi nilai budaya dan kearifan lokal," tambahnya.
Pagelaran budaya tersebut menjadi salah satu rangkaian peringatan hari jadi kota yang tidak hanya menghadirkan hiburan, tetapi juga memperkenalkan seni tradisi kepada generasi muda. Keterlibatan dalang cilik, sinden pelajar, dan kelompok karawitan diharapkan menjadi bagian dari upaya menjaga keberlangsungan wayang kulit sebagai salah satu warisan budaya Indonesia di tengah arus modernisasi.
