JATIMTIMES - Seorang pria ditemukan tewas misterius di rumahnya yang beralamat di Kelurahan Kalirejo, Kecamatan Lawang, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Peristiwa penemuan mayat tersebut kemudian viral di media sosial (medsos) lantaran korban diduga telah tewas sekitar satu minggu sebelum akhirnya ditemukan warga.

Berdasarkan dokumentasi yang dihimpun JatimTIMES dari sejumlah WhatsApp Grup pada Senin (29/6/2026) malam, nampak petugas kepolisian beserta sejumlah pihak terkait yang mengenakan masker hingga Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat mengevakuasi jenazah seorang pria misterius tersebut.

Ketika dikonfirmasi, Kapolsek Lawang Kompol M. Lutfi membenarkan adanya peristiwa penemuan mayat seorang pria tersebut. Berdasarkan laporan yang diterima pihak kepolisian, peristiwa penemuan mayat yang kini viral tersebut terjadi pada Minggu (28/6/2026) malam.

"Kejadian tersebut bermula ketika pelapor selaku Ketua RW setempat menerima informasi dari warga bahwa tercium bau menyengat yang berasal dari rumah yang ditempati korban," ujar Lutfi dalam konfirmasinya yang diterima JatimTIMES pada Senin (29/6/2026) malam.

Menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut, pelapor bersama warga kemudian mendatangi rumah korban untuk melakukan pengecekan. "Karena pintu rumah korban pada saat itu dalam keadaan terkunci dari dalam, warga pada akhirnya masuk ke dalam rumah dengan cara mendobrak pintu," tuturnya.

Setelah berhasil masuk, korban ditemukan oleh warga dalam keadaan telah meninggal dunia di ruang tengah rumahnya. Peristiwa penemuan mayat tersebut pada akhirnya dilaporkan ke Polsek Lawang.

Petugas kepolisian kemudian mendatangi lokasi kejadian bersama dengan pihak terkait. Dari hasil identifikasi, korban yang ditemukan tewas di rumahnya tersebut diketahui berinisial CB (53). "Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan oleh petugas kesehatan, tidak ditemukan adanya tanda-tanda kekerasan pada tubuh korban," jelas Lutfi.

Dugaan sementara, penyebab kematian korban karena riwayat penyakit yang dideritanya. Dugaan tersebut juga diperkuat berdasarkan keterangan pihak keluarga yang menyebut jika korban memiliki riwayat penyakit paru-paru.

"Korban diduga meninggal karena memiliki riwayat sakit. Menurut keterangan pihak keluarga, korban memiliki riwayat penyakit paru-paru selama kurang lebih 10 tahun," pungkasnya.
