Angin Kencang Terjang Jawa Timur, BMKG Beberkan Penyebab dan Dampak yang Perlu Diwaspadai

JATIMTIMES - Angin kencang yang melanda sejumlah wilayah di Jawa Timur dalam beberapa hari terakhir menjadi perhatian masyarakat. Selain membuat aktivitas di luar ruangan terganggu, kondisi tersebut juga meningkatkan risiko pohon tumbang, baliho roboh, hingga kerusakan atap rumah.

Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) menjelaskan bahwa fenomena ini dipicu oleh menguatnya angin muson timur, yang merupakan karakteristik umum saat musim kemarau. Peningkatan kecepatan angin bahkan terpantau di sejumlah wilayah, termasuk kawasan Malang Raya.

Prakirawan BMKG Stasiun Klimatologi Karangploso Malang, Linda Fitrotul, mengatakan angin mulai bertiup lebih kencang sejak pekan lalu dan intensitasnya semakin terasa pada Kamis (23/7/2026). "Beberapa hari terakhir angin terasa lebih kencang karena angin muson timur sedang menguat saat kemarau," ujar Linda, dikutip Jumat (24/7/2026).

Hasil pengamatan BMKG menunjukkan kecepatan angin mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan hari-hari sebelumnya. Jika sebelumnya berada di kisaran 20 kilometer per jam atau sekitar 11 knot, kini kecepatannya mencapai sekitar 31 kilometer per jam, khususnya di wilayah Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang.

Menurut Linda, peningkatan tersebut masih tergolong wajar pada musim kemarau, terutama ketika angin muson timur sedang menguat.

BMKG menyebut ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan angin bertiup lebih kencang di sejumlah wilayah Jawa Timur, yakni:

• Menguatnya angin muson timur yang membawa massa udara kering dari Benua Australia menuju Indonesia.

• Peningkatan kecepatan angin permukaan sehingga hembusannya terasa lebih kuat dibandingkan hari-hari sebelumnya.

• Pengaruh fenomena iklim global, seperti El Niño dan Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) positif, yang berpotensi memperkuat karakter musim kemarau di Indonesia.

Kombinasi faktor-faktor tersebut membuat cuaca menjadi lebih kering, angin bertiup lebih kencang, dan meningkatkan potensi terjadinya kebakaran hutan maupun lahan di daerah yang rawan.

Dampak Angin Kencang yang Perlu Diwaspadai

BMKG mengingatkan bahwa angin kencang dapat menimbulkan sejumlah risiko yang perlu diantisipasi masyarakat, antara lain:

• Pohon tumbang yang dapat membahayakan pengguna jalan.

• Baliho atau papan reklame roboh akibat terpaan angin.

• Atap rumah yang kurang kokoh berpotensi rusak atau terlepas.

• Meningkatnya risiko kebakaran hutan dan lahan karena cuaca kering serta tiupan angin yang lebih kuat.

Karena itu, masyarakat diimbau lebih berhati-hati saat beraktivitas di luar ruangan, terutama di bawah pepohonan besar maupun di sekitar papan reklame. Warga juga disarankan memeriksa kondisi atap rumah dan memastikan tidak ada bagian bangunan yang berpotensi lepas saat diterpa angin.

Selain itu, BMKG mengingatkan masyarakat untuk tidak melakukan pembakaran terbuka selama musim kemarau karena api lebih mudah menyebar ketika disertai embusan angin kencang.

"BMKG mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap waspada terhadap potensi pohon tumbang, baliho atau atap yang kurang kokoh akibat angin kencang, serta menghindari pembakaran terbuka yang dapat memicu kebakaran selama musim kemarau," pungkas Linda.

Masyarakat juga diharapkan terus memantau informasi cuaca dan peringatan dini yang dikeluarkan BMKG agar dapat mengantisipasi potensi cuaca ekstrem selama musim kemarau berlangsung.
