Jika traveller berwisata ke Blitar tentunya wajib mencoba jajanan legendaris yang satu ini. Ya, Es Drop Blitar. Jajanan yang satu ini tentunya sangat familiar bagi warga Blitar dan sekitarnya.

Es Drop ini memiliki bentuk pipa seperti es krim dan sangat legendaris di Blitar. Es Drop sendiri memiliki  berbagai macam varian rasa mulai rasa coklat, strawberry, vanilla dan kacang hijau.

Harganya pun cukup aman di kantong, untuk sepotong Es Dropnya dibandrol dengan harga 3000 rupiah saja.

Tidak diketahui secara pasti sejak kapan Es Drop ini ada di Blitar. Akan tetapi, jajanan legendaris yang satu ini diyakini sudah ada sejak jaman kolonial Belanda dan masih tetap eksis hingga saat ini.

Jajanan khas Blitar ini juga mudah dijumpai di tempat-tempat wisata di Kota Blitar. Salah satunya Es Drop milik Sukarji (67). Bapak tiga anak asal Desa Kemloko, Kabupaten Blitar ini setiap harinya berjualan Es Drop di sekitaran komplek makam Bung Karno Kota Blitar.

"Saya jualan Es Drop ini sudah 20 tahun lebih, sejak anak saya masih sekolah sampek sekarang sudah punya anak saya masih jualan," kata Sukarji saat ditemui BlitarTimes pada Rabu (17/07/2019).

Dengan bermodal sepeda tua dengan kotak gerobak kecil di belakangnya, setiap hari Sukarji mengayuh sepedanya hingga belasan kilometer untuk mengambil termos-termos berisi Es Drop di Pabriknya di Plosokerep.

Untuk menjajakan Es Drop dagangannya, biasanya Sukarji memilih tempat-tempat yang ramai dikunjungi oleh wisatawan seperti, Makam Bung Karno, PIPP, Aloon-aloon, Istana Gebang dan tempat-tempat wisata lainnya di Blitar.

Es Drop sendiri gampang sekali untuk dikenali karena wadahnya yang sangat khas, yaitu termos-termos berbentuk seperti pipa klasik warna merah dan tutupnya yang berwarna putih.

"Es Drop ini jajanan khas Blitar yang sudah kondang kaloko. Selain karena wadahnya yang khas, termos-termos tempat Es Drop ini masih asli sejak jaman Belanda. Jadi meski cuaca sedang panas kayak gini es di dalamnya sampek sore bahkan malam pun gak akan cair," tutup Sukardi.(*)
