Stasiun Tanggung terletak di Desa Tanggungharjo, Kabupaten Grobogan, Jawa Tengah. Pada 10 Agustus 1867, stasiun ini menjadi saksi dibukanya jalur KA pertama antara Tanggung-Kemijen sejauh 25 km, oleh Gubernur Jenderal Hindia Belanda.
Stasiun ini masih aktif, namun tidak ada KA yang berhenti di Stasiun Tanggung untuk menaik-turunkan penumpang, kecuali jika terjadi persusulan antar kereta.
2. Stasiun Alastua dan Brumbung
Stasiun Alastua dan Brumbung sama-sama diresmikan pada 10 Agustus 1867. Stasiun Alastua terletak di Semarang, sementara Stasiun Brumbung terletak di Demak. Kedua stasiun ini memiliki keunikan, karena sama-sama terletak di tengah jalur kereta api. Karena itulah, stasiun ini dinamai juga sebagai Stasiun Pulau.
Stasiun Alastua punya peran penting, jika terjadi banjir di area Stasiun Semarang Tawang. Sebab, stasiun ini dijadikan tempat perhentian KA dari arah timur yang hendak melintas ke arah barat (dan sebaliknya).
KA yang berhenti di stasiun ini adalah KA Kedungsepur relasi Ngrombo-Semarang Poncol. Sementara itu ada beberapa KA yang berhenti di Stasiun Brumbung. Di antaranya, KA Brantas (Pasar Senen-Blitar), KA Banyubiru (Solo Balapan-Semarang Tawang Bank Jateng pp), KA Joglosemarkerto (Purwokerto-Semarang Tawang Bank Jateng) dan KA Kedungsepur (Ngrombo-Semarang Poncol).
3. Stasiun Lempuyangan
Siapa sangka, kalau stasiun kesayangan backpacker ini juga menjadi salah satu stasiun tertua di indonesia, bahkan yang pertama berdiri di Yogyakarta.
Stasiun Lempuyangan mulai dioperasikan pada 10 Juni 1872 dan ditujukan untuk pengangkutan komoditas dan mobilitas masyarakat di wilayah Vorstenianden-Semarang.

Saat ini, Stasiun Lempuyangan menjadi tempat perhentian untuk KA kelas ekonomi dan campuran dari dan menuju berbagai kota di Pulau Jawa.
4. Stasiun Ambarawa
Sebelum menjadi museum kereta api, Stasiun Ambarawa dulu bernama Stasiun Willem I dan sempat aktif hingga tahun 1976. Stasiun ini dibangun oleh Nedherlandsch Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NISM), yang diresmikan pada 21 Mei 1873, bersamaan dengan pembukaan lintas Kedungjati-Ambarawa tahun 1907.
Pembangunan Stasiun Willem I merupakan syarat yang harus dipenuhi NISM, guna mendapatkan izin konsesi pembangunan jalur kereta api pertama Semarang-Vorstenlanden (Solo-Yogyakarta). NISM diwajibkan membangun jalur kereta api cabang lintas KedungjatiAmbrawa sepanjang 37 km, untuk keperluan militer.
5. Stasiun Kedungjati
Stasiun ini sering disebut sebagai kembarannya Stasiun Ambarawa, karena fasadnya yang mirip dengan Stasiun Ambarawa. Stasiun Kedungjati terletak di Grobogan dan diresmikan pada 21 Mei 1873.
Pada 1907, pembenahan pada bangunan dilakukan. Konstruksi yang sebelumnya dari kayu, diubah dan diperkokoh dengan batu bata di plester. Bagian peron ikut dibenahi, konstruksi baja dengan beratapkan seng, dengan tinggi 14,65 meter. KA yang berhenti di Stasiun Kedungjati adalah KA Brawijaya dan KA Joglosemarkerto.
