Keluarga Besar Larang Band T Koes Bawakan Lagu-Lagu Koes Plus Lagi

JATIMTIMES - Keluarga besar band legendaris Koes Plus melarang band T Koes untuk membawakan karya-karya Koes Plus. Hal itu disampaikan oleh anak-anak para personel Koes Plus. 

"Hari ini Jumat tanggal 22 September 2023. Kami keluarga besar Koes Plus, saya David Koeswoyo mewakili keluarga almarhum Yon Koeswoyo, Damon Koeswoyo mewakili keluarga Tony Koeswoyo, Rico mewakili keluarga Murry, dan Sari Koeswoyo mewakili Yok Koeswoyo yang sudah memberikan mandat kepada kami," kata mereka, anak-anak personel Koes Plus dalam video yang diunggah di akun Instagram @DavidKoeswoyo, dikutip Sabtu (23/9/2023).

Dalam video itu, Sari Koeswoyo sebagai perwakilan keluarga besar Koes Plus mengatakan  larangan ini dilakukan kepada semua jenis karya cipta band Koes Plus, baik dalam kegiatan bermusik dan atau dalam bentuk komersil maupun non-komersil. 

"Menyatakan bahwa terhitung sejak hari ini, keluarga besar Koes Plus melarang dan tidak memberikan izin kepada band T Koes untuk membawakan karya cipta dari keluarga besar Koes Plus dan segala sesuatu yang terkait dalam kegiatan bermusik dan atau dalam bentuk apa pun, baik komersil maupun non-komersil," jelas Sari.

Bukan hanya band T Koes. Sari juga mengatakan larangan ini juga berlaku untuk siapa pun yang membawakan lagu Koes Plus. 

Menurut Sari, tindakan ini dilakukan oleh keluarga Koes Plus sebagai bentuk pembelajaran bagi semua pihak, khususnya band-band pelestari yang ada di Indonesia. 

"Kami tidak tebang pilih. Hal ini kami lakukan agar menjadi pembelajaran untuk kita semua serta khususnya band-band pelestari di mana pun berada di seluruh Indonesia," katanya.

Sebagai informasi tambahan, T Koes sendiri adalah sebuah grup band yang terdiri dari tiga bersaudara, Fajaru Al Azhari, Galifa Al Baladi, serta Jim Qory Al Ghifari, dan juga ayah mereka yang berada di posisi drumer. 

Grup ini didirikan pada 2007 yang kala itu para personelnya masih duduk di bangku SD. Band inilah yang melestarikan lagu-lagu milik Koes Plus.

T Koes sendiri terbentuk lantaran ayah personel T Koes, yakni Agusta Marzall, adalah penggemar Koes Plus. Nama T Koes juga diambil dari nama pemimpin Koes Plus, yakni Tonny Koeswoyo.

Secara garis besar, tak ada hubungan keluarga antara T Koes dengan Koes Plus. Ada juga yang mengartikan T Koes sebagai singkatan dari Titisan Koes Plus hingga Turunan Koes Plus.

Bukan hanya membawakan ulang lagu-lagu Koes Plus, T Koes juga memiliki gaya sang vintage, mirip dengan grup yang debut sejak 1969 silam itu. Bahkan mereka kerap tampil dengan kemeja bermotif unik ditambah celana cutbray.

Meski terinspirasi dari Koes Plus, T Koes rupanya memiliki beberapa lagu ciptaan sendiri. Sebut saja Gadis Genit, Teman, hingga Mata Duitan.

Kemunculan T Koes awalnya dinilai dapat diterima oleh keluarga besar Koes Plus. Pasalnya, mereka disebut mampu melestarikan lagu-lagu milik Koes Plus. Bahkan mereka sempat mendapatkan perhatian langsung dari Yon Koeswoyo. 

Namun, akhir-akhir ini keluarga besar melarang T Koes membawakan lagu Koes Plus. Alasan pelarangan tersebut diduga T Koes tidak menerapkan etika dan aturan yang sesuai dalam melestarikan karya Koes Plus.
