JATIMTIMES - WeTV Indonesia bersama MD Entertainment resmi meluncurkan WeTV Original Samuel dalam sebuah acara gala premiere yang di CGV Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. Momen ini menandai titik balik bersejarah karena karakter ikonik Samuel Erlangga, yang selama ini hanya hidup dalam imajinasi 21,7 juta pembaca di Wattpad, akhirnya mewujud dalam bentuk visual yang nyata. 

Acara ini tidak hanya sekadar pemutaran perdana, tetapi juga menjadi ajang unjuk kekuatan “Diamond Gang Universe”.

Kehadiran jajaran ensemble cast yang masif, terdiri dari lebih dari 20 aktor muda berbakat, memberikan skala produksi yang luar biasa dan jarang ditemukan dalam serial remaja lainnya. Mulai dari para pemimpin geng motor yang karismatik hingga karakter pendukung yang kuat, seluruh penghuni Diamond Gang berkumpul untuk memberikan pengalaman visual yang megah bagi audiens. 

Dukungan luar biasa dari para penggemar setia Wattpad turut menjadi nyawa dalam acara ini. Kehadiran para fans yang memadati area red carpet hingga ke dalam studio memberikan vibes yang jauh lebih hidup dan nyata. 

Sorak-sorai dan antusiasme mereka membuktikan bahwa Samuel Erlangga bukan lagi sekadar karakter fiksi digital dengan ratusan ribu pengikut di media sosial, melainkan sebuah fenomena budaya yang memiliki keterikatan emosional sangat kuat di dunia nyata. 

Country Head WeTV Indonesia sekaligus Executive Producer, Febriamy Hutapea, menyampaikan bahwa WeTV Original Samuel menjadi salah satu proyek penting dalam komitmen WeTV untuk menghadirkan cerita-cerita lokal yang memiliki kedekatan emosional dengan penonton Indonesia. 

"Samuel merupakan perjalanan panjang yang kami bangun dengan penuh perhatian, mulai dari pengembangan cerita hingga proses produksinya. Yang membuat Samuel istimewa adalah bagaimana serial ini menghadirkan berbagai elemen yang dekat dengan penonton, mulai dari kisah cinta remaja yang manis, persahabatan yang solid, hingga berbagai konflik dan kejutan yang membuat ceritanya terus berkembang. Didukung oleh jajaran pemain yang berhasil menghidupkan karakter-karakter yang telah dicintai pembaca, kami berharap Samuel tidak hanya dapat menjawab ekspektasi para penggemarnya, tetapi juga menjadi tontonan yang dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat Indonesia secara lebih luas," ujar Febriamy dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Minggu (7/6) malam. 

Mewakili pihak produksi, Sairaa Punjabi dari MD Entertainment mengungkapkan rasa terima kasihnya kepada para penggemar yang telah menantikan sejak lama kehadiran serial WeTV Original Samuel. “MD Entertainment berharap agar serial ini disukai dan menghibur banyak orang," lanjutnya. 

Kemeriahan acara semakin lengkap dengan penampilan perdana Aliya Salma yang membawakan lagu “Kutub Utara”, Original Soundtrack resmi yang memperkuat atmosfer romansa enemies-to-lovers dalam serial ini. Cerita berpusat pada takdir Samuel (Fadi Alaydrus) dan Azura (Saskia Chadwick) yang terikat akibat sebuah tragedi keluarga dan wasiat masa lalu. 

Sutradara Asep Kusdinar mengungkapkan tantangan dalam mengorkestrasi jajaran pemain yang sangat banyak demi menghidupkan semesta ini.
“Tantangan kreatif terbesarnya adalah memberikan 'ruang' bagi setiap karakter agar tetap menonjol di tengah skala produksi yang besar. 

Mengorkestrasi 27 pemeran dalam satu semesta Diamond Gang membutuhkan trik khusus agar chemistry persaudaraan mereka terasa organik dan tidak hanya sekadar tempelan. Saya ingin penonton bisa merasakan bahwa geng motor ini memiliki jiwa yang hidup.” jelas Asep.
Ita Krn, penulis novel asli ‘Samuel’, turut hadir menyaksikan karyanya yang kini diadaptasi dalam skala besar bersama WeTV dan MD Entertainment tersebut. 

“Melihat para pemeran yang begitu ganteng-ganteng dan cantik-cantik, saya merasa karakter saya benar-benar keluar dari buku. Mereka tidak hanya memiliki visual yang kuat, tapi juga berhasil membawakan sisi emosional dan persaudaraan Diamond Gang yang selama ini hanya hidup di Wattpad. Ini adalah jawaban manis atas penantian jutaan pembaca saya selama bertahun-tahun," bebernya. 

Terkait peran ikonik yang dibawakan, para pemeran utama menyatakan kesannya. Fadi Alaydrus menjelaskan dinamika antar pemeran sangat kaya. “Dari enemies-to-lovers hingga saling melindungi karena takdir. Samuel bukan cuma pemimpin geng yang dingin, dia punya luka yang hanya Azura bisa lihat.” 

Lebih lanjut Fadli menambahkan dia membangun kedekatan luar biasa dengan teman-teman cast lain agar persahabatan Diamond Gang ini terasa nyata. Sehingga penonton tidak hanya fokus pada cintanya saja, tapi juga pada soliditas geng.
