Hal tersebut pun tidak dibenarkan oleh dr Giovanni Mustopo lewat media sosial baru-baru ini. “Banyak tergiur dan pingin beli karena sehebat itu. Tapi itu salah dan tidak benar,” ujar dokter Gio, panggilan akrabnya.
Dokter Gio membeberkan silicone sheet hanya punya beberapa fungsi. Pertama, membantu penyembuhan luka sehingga bekas luka bisa lebih cepat untuk sembuh. Kemudian mencegah terbentuknya keloid, bukan menghilangkan. Dengan demikian, slicine scar sheet ini tidak bisa menghilangkan smile line ataupu kerutan pada bagian dahi.
“Kalau kerutan di wajah bisa disebabkan karena banyak hal. Contohnya ekspresi yang terus menerus, kolagen kulit yang terus berkurang sepanjang usia. Ya penyebabnya itu yang harus kamu pertimbangin ya untuk pencegahan,” ungkap dokter Gio dikutip Minggu (9/3/2025).
