JATIMTIMES - Kebakaran terjadi pada gudang bibit jagung yang berlokasi di Desa Wadung, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, Senin (13/4/2026). Data Pemadam Kebakaran (Damkar) Kabupaten Malang menyebut, total kerugian akibat peristiwa kebakaran tersebut ditaksir mencapai puluhan juta.

Peristiwa kebakaran yang terjadi pada sebuah gudang bibit jagung tersebut juga sempat viral dan beredar di sejumlah WhatsApp Grup. Berdasarkan dokumentasi yang dihimpun JatimTIMES pada Selasa (14/4/2026), titik kebakaran terjadi pada tempat pemanas bibit jagung.

Di sisi lain, juga nampak sejumlah mobil Damkar yang diterjunkan ke lokasi kejadian. Petugas Damkar pada saat itu terlihat menyemburkan air dari dua sisi guna memadamkan api. Yakni dari sisi atas dan dari sisi bawah pada bangunan tempat pemanas bibit jagung setinggi kurang lebih empat meter tersebut.

Komandan Pleton (Danton) Seksi Penanggulangan Bidang Damkar Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) Kabupaten Malang Andik Minarko menyebut, peristiwa kebakaran yang kini viral tersebut terjadi pada Senin (13/4/2026) siang.

"Indikasi sumber api penyebab kebakaran diduga berasal dari tungku pemanas bibit jagung," ujarnya.

Data Damkar Kabupaten Malang mengungkapkan, pemilik gudang tempat pemanas bibit jagung dengan luas sekitar 1,2 x 5 meter tersebut bernama Deky (50) warga Desa Wadung, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang.

"Kronologi kebakaran bermula saat blower pada tungku pemanas bibit jagung tersebut dinyalakan. Sekitar tiga jam kemudian, pemilik gudang mengetahui api tiba-tiba sudah menyala besar," ujarnya.

Upaya pemadaman kebakaran tersebut juga sempat dilakukan dengan menggunakan peralatan seadanya. Namun, lantaran api terus membesar, peristiwa tersebut akhirnya dilaporkan ke Damkar Kabupaten Malang pada sekitar 45 menit setelah kejadian.

"Ada dua unit mobil PMK (Pemadam Kebakaran) yang kami terjunkan ke lokasi guna memadamkan kebakaran tersebut," imbuhnya.

Proses penanggulangan kebakaran yang dilakukan oleh Damkar pada saat itu juga turut dibantu oleh sejumlah personel gabungan. Yakni mulai dari Perangkat Desa Wadung hingga Babinsa.

"Api dapat dipadamkan sekitar dua jam setelah petugas tiba di lokasi untuk melakukan tindakan penanggulangan kebakaran," ujarnya.

Andik menyebut, tidak ada korban jiwa maupun luka-luka dalam peristiwa kebakaran tersebut. "Sedangkan untuk kerugian material kurang lebih mencapai Rp50 juta," pungkasnya.
