JATIMTIMES - Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) baru-baru ini merilis data Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) di Indonesia pada 2025. Menariknya, Kota Yogyakarta mencatatkan nilai tertinggi di Pulau Jawa dengan angka 89,53, diikuti oleh Jakarta Selatan dan Kota Salatiga yang masing-masing meraih skor 88,51 dan 86,23.

Kota-kota besar lainnya di Pulau Jawa, seperti Semarang (85,80), Surabaya (85,65), dan Malang (85,55), juga masuk dalam daftar 10 besar dengan nilai IPM di atas 85. Pencapaian ini mencerminkan keberhasilan akses pendidikan, layanan kesehatan, dan standar hidup yang layak di kawasan perkotaan.

Daftar 10 Kota dengan IPM Tertinggi di Pulau Jawa

• Kota Yogyakarta: 89,53
• Jakarta Selatan: 88,51
• Kota Salatiga: 86,23
• Kota Semarang: 85,80
• Kota Surabaya: 85,65
• Kota Malang: 85,55
• Jakarta Timur: 85,51
• Jakarta Barat: 85,18
• Kota Madiun: 85,12
• Kota Surakarta: 84,92

Untuk diketahui, IPM adalah indikator utama yang digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas hidup manusia. Indeks ini disusun berdasarkan empat komponen, yakni umur harapan hidup, rata-rata lama sekolah, harapan lama sekolah, dan pengeluaran riil per kapita per tahun.

Keterkaitannya dengan sektor pendidikan, kesehatan, dan ekonomi menunjukkan bagaimana kualitas hidup masyarakat di suatu daerah.

Menurut laporan resmi BPS pada 5 November 2025, Indonesia berhasil mencapai peningkatan IPM yang signifikan dalam periode 2020 hingga 2025. IPM Indonesia pada 2025 tercatat sebesar 75,90, naik 0,88 poin dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang sebesar 75,02. 

Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia berada dalam kategori IPM tinggi menurut klasifikasi United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), yang mencakup negara-negara dengan IPM antara 70 hingga 79,99.

Komponen utama yang mendorong kenaikan IPM Indonesia antara lain:
• Umur harapan hidup: 74,47 tahun
• Rata-rata lama sekolah: 9,07 tahun
• Harapan lama sekolah: 13,30 tahun
• Pengeluaran riil per kapita per tahun: Rp 12.802.000

Di tingkat provinsi, DKI Jakarta masih memimpin dengan IPM tertinggi di Indonesia, mencapai 85,05 pada 2025. Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta mengikuti dengan angka 82,48, sedangkan Kepulauan Riau mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan IPM 80,53, yang menjadikannya provinsi dengan status IPM sangat tinggi.

Berikut ini adalah daftar 10 provinsi dengan IPM tertinggi di Indonesia:
• DKI Jakarta: 85,05
• Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta: 82,48
• Kepulauan Riau: 80,53
• Kalimantan Timur: 79,39
• Bali: 79,37
• Sumatera Barat: 77,27
• Banten: 77,25
• Sumatera Utara: 76,47
• Sulawesi Utara: 76,32
• Riau: 76,31

Sementara itu, Jawa Barat mencatatkan kenaikan IPM tertinggi sebesar 0,98 poin dan kini menempati posisi ke-15 dengan IPM 75,90. Di sisi lain, Papua Tengah mencatatkan kenaikan terendah dengan 0,39 poin, mencapai IPM 60,64.

Peningkatan IPM di berbagai daerah, khususnya di Pulau Jawa, menunjukkan adanya kemajuan yang signifikan dalam kualitas hidup masyarakat, terutama terkait dengan pendidikan, kesehatan, dan standar hidup yang layak.

Keberhasilan ini juga mencerminkan upaya pemerintah dalam memajukan sektor-sektor utama untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif.

Namun, meskipun IPM meningkat, masih ada tantangan yang harus dihadapi, terutama terkait ketimpangan antar wilayah. 

Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya berkelanjutan untuk memastikan bahwa semua daerah di Indonesia mendapatkan akses yang setara terhadap layanan dasar yang berkualitas.
