JATIMTIMES - Kemajuan teknologi kamera ponsel membuat siapa saja kini bisa menghasilkan foto berkualitas tanpa harus menggunakan kamera profesional. Meski demikian, hasil gambar yang memuaskan tidak hanya bergantung pada perangkat, melainkan juga pada pemahaman teknik dasar fotografi.
Founder Pejalan Fotografi asal Malang, Afifah Rahmatika Furzaen, menekankan pentingnya memahami komposisi sebelum mengambil gambar. Menurutnya, proses memotret seharusnya sudah dimulai bahkan sebelum tombol kamera ditekan.

“Sebelum cekrek, bayangkan dulu hasil akhirnya seperti apa. Dari situ kita bisa menentukan sudut pengambilan gambar dan komposisi yang pas,” kata Afifah, Minggu (3/5/2026).
Ia menjelaskan, ada tiga hal dasar yang perlu diperhatikan sebelum memotret menggunakan ponsel. Pertama, membayangkan hasil akhir foto agar memiliki arah visual yang jelas.
Kedua, mengeksplorasi angle atau sudut pengambilan gambar untuk mendapatkan perspektif terbaik. Ketiga, memahami komposisi fotografi agar objek terlihat lebih menarik.
Salah satu contoh komposisi yang bisa diterapkan, misalnya negative space atau leaving space. Yakni memberikan ruang kosong lebih banyak di sekitar objek utama. Teknik ini sering digunakan, misalnya saat memotret burung di langit dengan porsi langit yang lebih dominan.
“Komposisi seperti negative space itu sederhana, tapi kalau dipakai dengan tepat, hasil foto bisa terasa lebih kuat dan bercerita,” jelas Afifah.

Selain memahami teori, Afifah menegaskan bahwa kunci utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas foto adalah latihan secara konsisten. Ia menyebut, kemampuan fotografi sangat bergantung pada jam terbang dan kebiasaan mengevaluasi hasil karya.
“Kuncinya satu, latihan motret. Skill itu dibentuk dari kebiasaan. Latihan, evaluasi, perbanyak literasi visual, dan jangan ragu diskusi soal foto,” tegas Afifah.
Dengan rutin berlatih dan terus mengasah kepekaan visual, pengguna ponsel bisa lebih mudah menemukan gaya dan komposisi favorit mereka. Hal ini sekaligus membuktikan bahwa menghasilkan foto menarik tidak selalu membutuhkan alat mahal, namun pemahaman dan konsistensi dalam belajar.
