JATIMTIMES - Kabar gembira bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Pemerintah resmi menetapkan libur nasional dan cuti bersama pada pertengahan Mei 2026 yang membuat masyarakat bisa menikmati long weekend selama empat hari berturut-turut.

Momen libur panjang ini dimulai pada Kamis, 14 Mei 2026 bertepatan dengan peringatan Kenaikan Yesus Kristus. Setelah itu, pemerintah juga menetapkan Jumat, 15 Mei 2026 sebagai cuti bersama sehingga waktu libur semakin panjang dan bisa dimanfaatkan untuk beristirahat maupun bepergian bersama keluarga.

Karena berdekatan dengan akhir pekan, masyarakat otomatis akan mendapatkan tambahan libur pada Sabtu dan Minggu. Kondisi ini menjadikan Mei 2026 sebagai salah satu bulan dengan jadwal libur paling banyak sepanjang tahun.

Penetapan hari libur nasional dan cuti bersama tersebut tercantum dalam Surat Keputusan Bersama (SKB) 3 Menteri tentang Hari Libur Nasional dan Cuti Bersama Tahun 2026. Dalam aturan itu, sepanjang Mei 2026 terdapat total enam hari libur yang terdiri dari empat hari libur nasional dan dua hari cuti bersama.

Long weekend ini diperkirakan akan dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk mudik singkat, staycation, wisata kuliner, hingga berkumpul bersama keluarga di rumah. Sejumlah destinasi wisata juga diprediksi mengalami peningkatan jumlah pengunjung selama periode libur panjang tersebut.

Berikut jadwal long weekend Kenaikan Yesus Kristus 2026:

• Kamis, 14 Mei 2026: Libur nasional Kenaikan Yesus Kristus

• Jumat, 15 Mei 2026: Cuti bersama Kenaikan Yesus Kristus

• Sabtu, 16 Mei 2026: Libur akhir pekan

• Minggu, 17 Mei 2026: Libur akhir pekan

Tips Liburan Saat Musim Panas

Karena Mei bertepatan dengan musim kemarau, tentu cuaca sedang panas-panasnya. Agar liburan tetap nyaman dan menyenangkan berikut tips liburan saat musim panas yang bisa sobat JatimTIMES coba:

• Gunakan pakaian yang nyaman

Pilih pakaian berbahan ringan dan mudah menyerap keringat agar tubuh tetap sejuk saat beraktivitas di luar ruangan.

• Pesan tiket dan penginapan lebih awal

Long weekend biasanya membuat harga tiket dan hotel meningkat. Pemesanan lebih awal bisa membantu menghemat biaya perjalanan.

Dengan adanya empat hari libur berturut-turut ini, masyarakat diimbau mempersiapkan perjalanan lebih awal agar terhindar dari kepadatan lalu lintas dan lonjakan harga tiket maupun penginapan.
