Makeup artist profesional Pao Hilda Afiani membagikan trik sederhana untuk membuat wajah tampak lebih tirus dan berdimensi, khususnya bagi pemilik pipi chubby. Ia menjelaskan bahwa teknik contour dan highlighter bisa menjadi solusi praktis untuk menciptakan ilusi bentuk wajah yang lebih tegas tanpa harus ribet.

Pao menekankan pentingnya memilih warna contour yang tepat agar hasil riasan terlihat natural. Menurut dia, shade contour yang memiliki sentuhan abu-abu lebih cocok digunakan untuk menciptakan bayangan wajah yang menyerupai bentuk alami tulang pipi.
“Kalau pilih contour, cari yang warnanya ada sedikit abu-abunya. Jadi, bayangannya lebih natural dan enggak terlihat belang,” kata Pao.
Ia juga mencontohkan cara aplikasi contour yang mudah dipraktikkan di rumah. Pengguna cukup berdiri menghadap cermin, lalu menandai area wajah yang ingin dibuat lebih kecil.
Setelah itu, contour diaplikasikan di bagian luar pipi dengan menarik garis tipis dari atas telinga menuju arah bibir, namun cukup sampai sejajar ujung mata.
Menurut Pao, teknik ini dapat membantu membentuk ilusi pipi yang lebih ramping. Produk contour berbentuk stik juga dinilai lebih praktis karena mudah dibaurkan, bahkan untuk pemula.
“Tarik garis dari atas kuping ke arah bibir, tapi berhenti di ujung mata. Itu cara paling gampang buat bikin wajah lebih berdimensi,” jelasnya.

Tak hanya contour, Pao juga menyarankan penggunaan highlighter agar hasil akhir makeup terlihat lebih segar. Highlighter diaplikasikan di bagian puncak tulang pipi lalu dibaurkan ke arah atas telinga untuk memberikan efek wajah yang lebih terangkat.
Pao menyebut produk highlighter berbentuk krim cenderung lebih aman digunakan pada berbagai tekstur kulit karena hasilnya tetap menyatu setelah ditimpa bedak.
“Yang bentuknya krim lebih aman di tekstur kulit. Setelah dibedakin pun efek glow-nya tetap muncul,” tutup Pao.
