JATIMTIMES – Memasuki bulan Zulhijjah dalam kalender Islam, lapak pedagang kambing mulai menjamur di Kota Batu. Namun, pelaku usaha musiman hewan kurban itu mulai mengeluhkan sepinya permintaan pasar menjelang Hari Raya Idul Adha 2026.
Kondisi ini salah satunya dirasakan oleh Kabul, pedagang hewan kurban yang membuka lapak di kawasan Jalan Sultan Agung, Kota Batu.

Kabul membeberkan bahwa penurunan omzet penjualan tahun ini sangat drastis jika dibandingkan dengan periode tahun lalu yang mampu mencatatkan transaksi hingga ratusan ekor. "Tahun lalu bisa menjual sampai 150 ekor kambing hingga H-1 Idul Adha. Kalau tahun ini baru laku sekitar 25 ekor sampai hari ini, padahal sudah sepuluh hari buka lapak," ungkap Kabul saat ditemui di lapaknya, Senin (18/5/2026).
Pada musim kurban tahun ini, Kabul sendiri telah menyiapkan sekitar 200 ekor kambing jenis Jawa yang dipastikan sehat, gemuk, dan memenuhi syarat serta usia minimal ibadah kurban.
Harga kambing yang ditawarkan bervariasi, bergantung pada ukuran bobotnya, mulai dari kisaran Rp2,5 juta hingga yang paling mahal menyentuh angka Rp8 juta per ekor.
Selain di Jalan Sultan Agung, ia juga menyiapkan stok di jalur kampung kawasan Jalan Ngukir. Namun di titik tersebut baru mencatatkan penjualan sebanyak tiga ekor.
Tidak hanya kambing. Kabul juga memasok 16 ekor sapi jenis Limusin dan Brahman di wilayah Bumiaji dengan kisaran harga Rp25 juta hingga Rp30 juta per ekor. Namun, sejauh ini baru laku enam ekor. Ia menjelaskan, tingginya modal operasional juga menjadi kendala.
"Kami kulakan langsung dalam kondisi siap potong karena kalau merawat dari anakan sekarang cari rumputnya sulit. Biaya pakan konsentrat, ampas tahu, hingga perawatan harian dan pembersihan hewan ini juga cukup mahal," imbuhnya.

Sepinya pembeli musiman dari sektor swasta atau personal pada tahun ini membuat para pedagang lokal diliputi kekhawatiran merugi. Sebab, apabila hewan kurban tidak habis terjual hingga malam takbiran, pedagang terpaksa melempar kembali sisa stok ke pasar hewan umum dengan konsekuensi harga yang jatuh jauh di bawah harga pasar musiman.
Kabul berharap dalam sisa waktu beberapa minggu ke depan, permintaan dari masyarakat lokal maupun kelompok panitia kurban di wilayah Kota Batu dapat kembali meningkat agar para pedagang tidak sampai mengalami kerugian besar.
"Kalau tidak laku, ya dijual ke pasar. Harga awal Rp5 juta juga bisa jadi Rp4 juta. Itu rugi. Semoga nanti dekat-dekat malam takbiran agak naik lagi lah," harapnya.
