JATIMTIMES – Proses pelaksanaan Seleksi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru Madrasah (PPDBM) di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kota Batu untuk tahun ajaran baru resmi dinyatakan selesai. Lembaga pendidikan madrasah terfavorit di Bumi Kota Wisata itu mencatatkan adanya lonjakan peminat yang cukup signifikan dari sektor kuantitas pendaftar jika dibandingkan dengan periode tahun sebelumnya.

Berdasarkan data statistik final pasca-penutupan sistem seleksi, jumlah total pendaftar terverifikasi melesat naik menyentuh angka 816 calon siswa. Terjadi tren pertumbuhan yang positif dari musim praseleksi tahun lalu yang mencapai 789 pelamar.

Dari total ratusan pelamar yang membanjiri sistem pendaftaran tersebut, pihak manajemen madrasah menerapkan sistem kurasi yang ketat. Panitia akhirnya meloloskan sebanyak 490 siswa baru melalui akumulasi tiga jalur masuk resmi, yakni jalur khusus, undangan, serta mandiri.

“Alhamdulillah tahapan PPDBM sudah selesai dan kuota yang diterima tahun ini sekitar 490 siswa dari total keseluruhan pendaftar yang naik menjadi 816 anak,” ungkap Kepala MAN Kota Batu, Farhadi, Jumat (29/5/2026).

Farhadi menjelaskan, meski jumlah siswa yang diterima menyentuh angka hampir 500 anak, pihak sekolah memastikan tidak akan menambah jumlah rombongan belajar (rombel) di kelas. Formasi ruang kelas baru tetap dipertahankan sebanyak 14 kelas, sama persis seperti standardisasi kuota pada tahun lalu.

Kendati jumlah rombelnya sama, manajemen sekolah melakukan sedikit penyesuaian teknis pada kapasitas daya tampung per ruang kelas. Kebijakan ini diambil demi menjaga kualitas kenyamanan lingkungan belajar mengajar agar tetap berjalan secara prima dan interaktif.

“Formasi rombelnya tetap sama 14 kelas seperti tahun lalu, cuma untuk jalur yang ketiga ini kapasitas kelasnya kami desain agak kecil sedikit karena menyesuaikan kapasitas gedung,” tambah Farhadi.

Pihak sekolah menggaransi bahwa penataan ruang kelas yang sedikit lebih ramping tersebut tidak akan mengurangi pemenuhan hak fasilitas pendidikan bagi para siswa baru. Semua sarana prasarana penunjang, mulai dari laboratorium hingga akses digital penunjang kurikulum, dipastikan siap menyambut kehadiran ratusan murid anyar tersebut.

Keberhasilan MAN Kota Batu dalam menggaet ratusan pendaftar baru ini sekaligus mempertegas posisi lembaga asuhan Kementerian Agama tersebut sebagai salah satu sekolah rujukan yang paling diminati oleh para lulusan SMP sederajat di Malang Raya.

“Seluruh tahapan seleksi administrasi hingga pengumuman final berjalan dengan aman dan transparan. Kami berharap 490 siswa yang terpilih ini siap berkomitmen penuh untuk mengukir prestasi dan menjaga nama baik almamater di masa depan,” pungkas Farhadi.
