JATIMTIMES - Warga Malang Raya belakangan ini mulai merasakan suhu udara yang lebih dingin dari biasanya, terutama saat malam hingga menjelang pagi. Kondisi yang dikenal masyarakat Jawa sebagai fenomena bediding tersebut diperkirakan masih akan berlangsung selama beberapa bulan ke depan.
Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Stasiun Klimatologi Karangploso Malang menyebut penurunan suhu ini merupakan fenomena yang lazim terjadi setiap musim kemarau. Bahkan, puncak udara dingin diperkirakan terjadi pada pertengahan Juli mendatang.

Prakirawan BMKG Stasiun Klimatologi Karangploso, Retno Wulandari, mengatakan saat ini Malang Raya telah memasuki periode bediding dan kondisi tersebut diprediksi berlangsung hingga Juli atau Agustus.
“Untuk wilayah Malang Raya, fenomena bediding ini sudah terjadi dan akan berlangsung hingga bulan Juli atau Agustus. Setelah itu, berangsur suhu minimum akan meningkat pada bulan selanjutnya,” kata Retno.
Menurutnya, suhu dingin yang dirasakan masyarakat dalam beberapa hari terakhir masih belum mencapai puncaknya. BMKG memperkirakan intensitas bediding akan semakin terasa pada pertengahan Juli, seiring menguatnya pengaruh musim kemarau.
“Untuk puncak bediding, umumnya akan terjadi di pertengahan bulan Juli,” imbuhnya, Sabtu (6/6/2026).
Dari data BMKG Karangploso menunjukkan suhu minimum di wilayah Malang Raya sudah mulai mengalami penurunan. Pada pagi hari, suhu bahkan tercatat berada di kisaran 18,4 derajat Celsius.
“Beberapa hari ini, terpantau suhu minimum mulai turun. Pagi tadi, suhu minimum tercatat sekitar 18,4 derajat Celcius,” ungkap Retno.

Ia menjelaskan, fenomena bediding terjadi karena langit pada musim kemarau cenderung lebih cerah dengan tutupan awan yang minim. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan panas yang tersimpan di permukaan bumi lebih mudah terlepas ke atmosfer pada malam hari, sehingga suhu udara menjadi lebih rendah.
Selain itu, keberadaan angin Monsun Australia yang membawa massa udara kering dan dingin dari selatan turut memperkuat penurunan suhu di sejumlah wilayah Indonesia, termasuk Malang Raya.
Meski merupakan fenomena alam yang terjadi setiap tahun, masyarakat diimbau untuk tetap mewaspadai perubahan suhu yang cukup ekstrem antara siang dan malam hari. BMKG mengingatkan agar warga menjaga kondisi tubuh dan menggunakan pakaian hangat ketika beraktivitas pada malam maupun dini hari.
“Saat malam hari, kami mengimbau masyarakat untuk menggunakan pakaian yang hangat serta menjaga kondisi tubuh agar tidak mudah terserang penyakit seperti flu dan batuk,” tutupnya.
