JATIMTIMES - Marc Marquez akhirnya kembali merasakan manisnya kemenangan setelah tampil sebagai juara MotoGP Hungaria 2026. Pembalap Ducati tersebut sukses finis terdepan usai mengalahkan Pedro Acosta dalam pertarungan sengit di Sirkuit Hungaria.
Mengutip laporan Crash.net, kemenangan ini menjadi pencapaian bersejarah bagi Marquez karena merupakan kemenangan grand prix ke-100 sepanjang karier profesionalnya. Hasil tersebut juga membuka kembali peluangnya dalam persaingan gelar juara dunia MotoGP 2026.

Balapan berlangsung dramatis sejak lap pertama. Insiden besar terjadi di tikungan pembuka ketika pembalap Aprilia, Jorge Martin, kehilangan kendali saat melakukan pengereman. Motor Martin kemudian menghantam rekan setimnya, Marco Bezzecchi, dan memicu kecelakaan beruntun yang melibatkan beberapa pembalap lain.
Fabio Di Giannantonio, Raul Fernandez, dan Fermin Aldeguer turut menjadi korban dalam insiden tersebut. Bezzecchi dan Martin langsung mendapat pemeriksaan medis usai kecelakaan. Kabar baiknya, keduanya tidak mengalami patah tulang meski gagal melanjutkan balapan.

Di barisan depan, Pedro Acosta tampil agresif sejak awal balapan. Pembalap muda asal Spanyol itu sempat mengambil alih posisi terdepan dari Marquez pada lap kedua setelah memanfaatkan strategi penggunaan ban belakang tipe soft.
Sejak saat itu, persaingan ketat antara Marquez dan Acosta tak terhindarkan. Keduanya saling mencatatkan lap tercepat dan menjauh dari rombongan pembalap lain.
Memasuki fase krusial balapan, Marquez beberapa kali mencoba merebut kembali posisi pertama. Setelah dua upaya gagal, juara dunia delapan kali itu akhirnya berhasil menyalip Acosta dan mengambil alih pimpinan lomba.

Hasil di Hungaria juga memberi keuntungan besar bagi Marquez dalam persaingan gelar juara dunia. Absennya perolehan poin Marco Bezzecchi akibat kecelakaan pada awal balapan membuat jarak di klasemen sementara semakin menipis.
