JATIMTIMES - Arema FC resmi mengakhiri kebersamaan dengan gelandang asal Brasil, Gildson Pablo de Oliveira Silva. Setelah dua musim memperkuat Singo Edan, Pablo Oliveira dipastikan tidak melanjutkan kariernya di Stadion Kanjuruhan seiring berakhirnya masa kontrak dan keputusan manajemen untuk tidak memperpanjang kerja sama pada musim kompetisi mendatang.
Kepergian Pablo menandai berakhirnya perjalanan seorang pemain yang tak hanya berperan penting di lini tengah, tetapi juga dikenal sebagai sosok pekerja keras dengan mentalitas kuat saat menghadapi berbagai tantangan selama membela Arema FC .

Sejak bergabung dengan tim berjuluk Singo Edan, Pablo langsung menunjukkan kualitasnya sebagai pengatur permainan sekaligus penjaga keseimbangan lini tengah. Pada Liga 1 musim 2024/2025, pemain berusia 31 tahun itu tampil dalam 27 pertandingan dan menyumbangkan tiga gol. Kontribusinya membuat Pablo menjadi salah satu pilar penting dalam menjaga ritme permainan serta memperkuat pertahanan dari lini kedua.
Namun perjalanan Pablo bersama Arema FC tidak selalu berjalan mulus. Memasuki musim Super League 2025/2026, ia harus menghadapi cobaan berat akibat cedera yang memaksanya menepi cukup lama. Setelah menjalani proses pemulihan, Pablo akhirnya kembali bergabung bersama tim pada putaran kedua kompetisi pada Januari 2026.
Sayangnya, nasib kurang beruntung kembali menghampiri gelandang asal Brasil tersebut. Pablo mengalami cedera serius pada ligamen lutut MCL dan ACL yang membuatnya harus pulang lebih awal ke Brasil untuk menjalani operasi lanjutan sebelum kompetisi berakhir.
Meski dibatasi kondisi fisik, dedikasi Pablo Oliveira terhadap Arema FC tidak pernah surut. Pada musim Super League 2025/2026, ia masih sempat mencatatkan tiga penampilan sebelum kembali fokus menjalani proses pemulihan cedera.
General Manager Arema FC, Yusrinal, menyampaikan apresiasi atas kontribusi yang telah diberikan Pablo selama dua musim terakhir. Bukan hanya melalui penampilannya di atas lapangan, tetapi juga melalui semangat dan keteguhannya dalam menghadapi masa-masa sulit akibat cedera.
“Pablo telah menunjukkan arti sesungguhnya dari perjuangan sebagai seorang profesional,” kata Yusrinal.

Menurut Yusrinal, perjalanan Pablo menjadi contoh bagaimana seorang pemain tetap menunjukkan komitmen tinggi meski harus menghadapi ujian berat dalam kariernya. Ia juga menyampaikan doa dan harapan terbaik agar sang pemain dapat segera pulih dan kembali berkiprah di level tertinggi.
“Cedera yang dialami Pablo tentu bukan situasi yang mudah untuk dihadapi. Namun kami percaya dengan karakter dan mentalitas yang dimilikinya, ia mampu bangkit kembali. Kami mendoakan agar proses pemulihannya berjalan lancar, dapat kembali ke performa terbaiknya, serta meraih kesuksesan bersama klub barunya nanti. Terima kasih karena telah menjadi bagian dari keluarga besar Arema FC,” beber Yusrinal.
Selama dua musim berseragam Arema FC, Pablo memang tidak hanya meninggalkan catatan statistik. Ia juga meninggalkan kesan sebagai pemain yang tenang di lapangan dan tangguh ketika menghadapi masa-masa sulit akibat cedera.
