JATIMTIMES - Peristiwa kebakaran marak terjadi di wilayah Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Data Bidang Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan Kebakaran Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) Kabupaten Malang mengungkapkan, dalam triwulan pertama di tahun 2026 telah terjadi 25 peristiwa kebakaran.
Dari puluhan kejadian tersebut, paling banyak terjadi di rumah dan pemukiman warga. Di mana, penyebabnya mayoritas diduga karena korsleting listrik.

"Ada 25 kejadian kebakaran di wilayah Kabupaten Malang pada triwulan 1 di tahun 2026," ujar Komandan Pleton (Danton) Seksi Penanggulangan Bidang Pemadam Kebakaran (Damkar) Satpol PP Kabupaten Malang, Andik Minarko.
Sebagaimana yang disampaikan sebelumnya, diutarakan Andik, peristiwa kebakaran yang terjadi pada triwulan pertama tersebut marak terjadi di rumah dan pemukiman warga. "Sebanyak 24 persen kebakaran di triwulan 1 tersebut terjadi pada objek rumah dan pemukiman. Jumlahnya ada enam kejadian," ujarnya.
Sementara untuk penyebab kebakaran yang terjadi pada triwulan pertama tersebut, mayoritas diduga dipicu karena korsleting listrik. "Sebanyak 60 persen kebakaran disebabkan karena korsleting listrik. Jumlahnya ada 15 kejadian," jelasnya.
Insiden kebakaran yang diduga dipicu karena korsleting listrik tersebut juga marak terjadi pada triwulan kedua di 2026. Terbaru, peristiwa kebakaran yang diduga disebabkan karena korsleting listrik tersebut terjadi pada 15 Juni 2026 malam.
Pada saat itu, kebakaran dilaporkan terjadi pada sebuah rumah warga di Desa Patokpicis, Kecamatan Wajak, Kabupaten Malang. "Indikasi sumber api penyebab kebakaran diduga karena korsleting listrik," jelasnya.
Bangunan rumah dengan luas sekitar 5x15 meter yang mengalami kebakaran tersebut diketahui milik warga setempat berusia 54 tahun bernama Jupri. "Tidak ada korban jiwa, sementara untuk kerugian material kurang lebih mencapai Rp 300 jutaan," ujarnya.

Peristiwa kebakaran tersebut pada saat itu diketahui pertama kali oleh warga sekitar yang melihat kobaran api sudah membesar. Warga kemudian berusaha memadamkan api dengan alat seadanya. Peristiwa kebakaran tersebut pada akhirnya dilaporkan ke Damkar Kabupaten Malang oleh warga beserta perangkat Kecamatan Wajak.
Sejumlah personel dan empat unit mobil pemadam kebakaran dari Damkar Kabupaten Malang kemudian diterjunkan ke lokasi kejadian. Proses pemadaman kebakaran pada saat itu juga turut melibatkan personel gabungan dari Polsek dan Koramil Wajak, perangkat kecamatan dan desa setempat, hingga warga sekitar.
"Kebakaran pada akhirnya berhasil dipadamkan sekitar dua jam setelah petugas melakukan tindakan penanggulangan di lokasi kejadian," pungkasnya.
