JATIMTIMES - Sejumlah pakar transportasi sebelumnya telah memprediksi bahwa Kereta Cepat Jakarta Bandung atau WHOOSH bakal sepi peminat. Rupanya, prediksi itu benar. Sepinya penumpang kereta cepat itu tampak dari unggahan pengusaha Reinhart Hermanus melalui akun X pribadinya. 

Dalam postingannya, Reinhart terlihat mengunggah kursi-kursi di dalam kereta cepat Whoosh. Ia mengaku pada Rabu (17/1/2024) hari ini, pulang pergi Jakarta-Bandung naik kereta Whoosh.

Dalam foto yang dibagikan, terlihat dalam satu gerbong hanya ada 3 penumpang. Foto itu juga diklaim Reinhart dibagikan saat kereta berjalan. 

"Hari ini pulang pergi Jkt-Bdg naik Whoosh kondisinya sepi begini. Posisi kereta udah jalan, bukan nunggu penumpang," ujar Reinhart. 

Dia pun mengaku hendak mengkritik adanya kereta cepat namun sudah terlanjur jadi utangnya. "Mau kritik sekarang udah lewat, udah jadi barangnya dan udah berlaku utang nya. Berharap yg baik aja deh, semoga investasinya bisa balik modal dalam bentuk apapun (dampak ekonomi dll)," tandasnya. 

Sontak unggahan itu pun menuai beragam reaksi dari warganet. "hanya rame kalau musim liburan atau jam2 tertentu di weekend. padahal utangnya ngga mengenal weekend dan libur," @kukuh_*****. 

"Barusan coba mau reservasi rata2 baru terbooking kurang dari 25% setiap gerbong, padahal awal2 itu rame bgt," @lampata*****. 

Usut punya usut ramainya Kereta Cepat Jakarta Bandung atau WHOOSH itu karena masih promo sejak akhir November 2023 lalu. Di mana tiket dibanderol dengan harga Rp 150 ribu saat promo. 

Direktur Eksekutif Institut Studi Transportasi (Instran) Deddy Herlambang mengatakan, berakhirnya tarif promo kereta cepat akan berdampak pada turunnya permintaan masyarakat. Deddy menyebut risiko penurunan tingkat keterisian tempat duduk kereta cepat dapat mencapai 50%.

"[Tingkat okupansi] kemungkinan dapat berkurang 50%, kecuali di periode akhir pekan," kata Deddy, dikutip Bisniscom. 

Lebih lanjut Deddy menjelaskan segmen pengguna kereta cepat yang sesungguhnya didominasi oleh kalangan menegah ke atas. Sehingga, Dia mengimbau agar KCIC lebih kreatif untuk meningkatkan okupansinya, misalnya dengan memberlakukan tarif gabungan atau bundling dengan moda transportasi lain.

"Contohnya tarif normal Rp300.000 itu sudah termasuk tiket untuk LRT Jabodebek atau dengan moda transportasi lain," jelasnya.

Sementara itu, dia juga menilai pelayanan kereta cepat sebagai moda baru sudah cukup baik. Namun, Deddy memberi catatan untuk meningkatkan transit antar moda di Stasiun Tegalluar untuk akses ke Bandung Barat, Buahbatu, Rancaekek, Dayeuhkolot dan seterusnya.

Sebagai informasi, KCIC memberlakukan promo tiket kereta cepat seharga Rp150.000 untuk kelas premium ekonomi. Harga promo tersebut telah berlaku sejak 18 Oktober dan berakhir 30 November 2023. Sementara harga normalnya adalah Rp 300 ribu.
