JATIMTIMES – Pemerintah Kota Blitar menetapkan target ambisius untuk Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) dari sektor pariwisata tahun ini sebesar Rp 2 miliar. Setengah dari target ini diharapkan dipenuhi oleh Kawasan Wisata Makam Bung Karno (MBK), destinasi ikonik yang terus menjadi magnet bagi wisatawan lokal dan nasional.

Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Blitar, Edy Wasono, mengungkapkan bahwa pemerintah kota sangat optimis dengan target yang ditetapkan untuk tahun 2024. “Target PAD dari sektor wisata tahun ini dipatok sebesar Rp 2 miliar, dan kita berharap setengahnya bisa disumbang dari Makam Bung Karno,” kata Edy pada Senin (8/7/2024). Menurut Edy, MBK masih menjadi andalan utama dalam menarik wisatawan ke Kota Blitar.

Makam Bung Karno telah lama dikenal sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata paling populer di Jawa Timur. Tidak hanya menarik wisatawan dari dalam negeri, MBK juga sering dikunjungi oleh turis mancanegara yang tertarik dengan sejarah dan warisan budaya Indonesia. “MBK adalah aset penting bagi kita, baik dalam skala Jawa Timur maupun nasional,” tambah Edy.

Selain MBK, Kota Blitar memiliki beberapa destinasi favorit lainnya yang turut berkontribusi terhadap PAD. Edy menyebut Istana Gebang dan Masjid Ar-Rahman sebagai contoh tempat wisata yang juga diminati oleh pengunjung. “Istana Gebang, yang merupakan rumah masa kecil Bung Karno, dan Masjid Ar-Rahman juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pendapatan daerah kita,” ujarnya.

Dalam upaya mencapai target PAD yang telah ditetapkan, pemerintah kota terus mengembangkan dan mempromosikan potensi wisata lainnya di Blitar. Edy menambahkan bahwa wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Blitar memiliki banyak pilihan destinasi menarik. Selain tiga tempat favorit yang disebutkan, masih ada lokasi lain yang tak kalah menarik seperti Goa Maria dan Agrowisata Belimbing Karangsari.

“Wisatawan yang datang ke Blitar tidak hanya terbatas pada satu atau dua tempat. Mereka memiliki banyak opsi untuk menjelajahi kota ini, dari Goa Maria yang menawarkan ketenangan rohani hingga Agrowisata Belimbing yang memberikan pengalaman unik dalam bidang pertanian,” jelas Edy.

Pemerintah Kota Blitar juga berkomitmen untuk terus meningkatkan fasilitas dan layanan di berbagai destinasi wisata. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kepuasan wisatawan, sehingga mendorong kunjungan yang berulang dan memperpanjang masa tinggal mereka di kota ini.

Dengan sinergi antara berbagai destinasi wisata dan upaya berkelanjutan dari pemerintah kota, target PAD sektor wisata sebesar Rp 2 miliar diharapkan dapat tercapai. Edy Wasono menekankan bahwa kerjasama antara semua pihak, termasuk masyarakat dan pelaku usaha, sangat penting dalam mendukung pencapaian target ini. “Dukungan dari semua pihak sangat diperlukan untuk mewujudkan target ini. Kita perlu bekerja sama untuk mempromosikan Blitar sebagai tujuan wisata utama,” pungkasnya.

Dengan optimisme dan kerja keras, Kota Blitar berambisi untuk terus memperkuat posisinya sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata terdepan di Jawa Timur. Kawasan Wisata Makam Bung Karno, bersama dengan tempat-tempat wisata lainnya, diharapkan dapat terus menarik dan menginspirasi para wisatawan dari seluruh penjuru.
