JATIMTIMES – Peran guru agama dipandang penting dalam membentengi karakter generasi muda di tengah dinamika pesatnya Kota Batu sebagai kota wisata. Hal tersebut menjadi penekanan dalam sarasehan sekaligus pelantikan pengurus FKG, KKG, dan MGMP Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) se-Kota Batu, Rabu (15/4/2026).

Kegiatan yang diinisiasi oleh Kantor Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) Kota Batu ini melantik kurang lebih 400 pengurus dari berbagai jenjang sekolah, mulai dari tingkat SD hingga SMA/SMK se-Kota Batu.

Wakil Wali Kota Batu, Heli Suyanto menyebut, agenda ini merupakan langkah krusial untuk meningkatkan kompetensi serta daya inovasi para pendidik agama di era digital.

“Tantangan guru PAI saat ini sangat kompleks, terutama dalam pengembangan pembelajaran Al-Qur'an dan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Dibutuhkan kreativitas dan inovasi agar pesan-pesan agama bisa diterima dengan baik dan relevan oleh anak-anak kita,” ungkap Heli.

Dirinya juga memberikan tantangan khusus kepada para guru PAI agar lebih proaktif dalam membentuk lingkungan sekolah yang religius. Ia tidak ingin status Kota Batu sebagai destinasi wisata internasional justru memunculkan stigma negatif terhadap perkembangan moral remaja akibat pengaruh budaya luar yang tidak terfilter.

Bagi Heli, penguatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) melalui jalur keagamaan adalah kunci utama untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara kemajuan sektor pariwisata dengan nilai-nilai religiusitas warga lokal.

“Kita ini kota wisata, jangan sampai ada stigma jelek yang menyertai perkembangan anak-anak kita. Maka, penguatan SDM melalui guru PAI maupun guru keagamaan lainnya harus dikuatkan. Termasuk peran guru-guru ngaji di kampung hingga para takmir masjid sebagai garda terdepan di masyarakat,” tambahnya.

Melalui pelantikan ini, ia berharap organisasi profesi guru agama seperti FKG (Forum Komunikasi Guru), KKG (Kelompok Kerja Guru), dan MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) dapat menjadi wadah kolaborasi untuk melahirkan metode pembelajaran agama yang lebih modern namun tetap substantif.

Sebagai bentuk komitmen nyata, Pemerintah Kota Batu memastikan akan terus memberikan dukungan melalui stimulus berupa insentif bagi para guru keagamaan dan takmir masjid. Pemberian insentif ini merupakan bentuk apresiasi sekaligus motivasi bagi para pejuang pendidikan agama di akar rumput.

“Pemerintah Kota Batu memberikan stimulus berupa insentif. Harapannya, ini menjadi penyemangat bagi guru ngaji dan takmir dalam membina karakter anak-anak kita agar memiliki pondasi agama yang kuat di tengah gempuran zaman,” pungkas Heli.
