JATIMTIMES - Dalam ajaran Islam, menjaga diri bukan sekadar anjuran moral, melainkan kewajiban yang memiliki konsekuensi hukum. Segala bentuk tindakan yang dengan sengaja melukai tubuh, termasuk perilaku self harm, dipandang sebagai bentuk kezaliman terhadap diri sendiri dan dilarang secara tegas.

Pandangan ini selaras dengan penjelasan dalam literatur pendidikan akidah akhlak yang menyebut bahwa kezaliman terhadap diri sendiri mencakup berbagai bentuk pelanggaran, mulai dari meninggalkan kewajiban seperti salat, melakukan maksiat, hingga tindakan yang secara langsung menyakiti fisik. Dengan kata lain, self harm tidak hanya dipahami sebagai persoalan psikologis, tetapi juga sebagai pelanggaran spiritual.

Larangan tersebut ditegaskan dalam Al-Qur’an. Allah berfirman dalam Surah An Nisa ayat 29:

“Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu saling memakan harta sesamamu dengan jalan yang batil, kecuali dengan jalan perdagangan yang berlaku dengan suka sama suka di antara kamu. Dan janganlah kamu membunuh dirimu; sesungguhnya Allah Maha Penyayang kepadamu.”

Ayat ini menunjukkan bahwa kehidupan manusia memiliki nilai yang harus dijaga, termasuk dari tindakan merusak diri sendiri. Larangan ini tidak berdiri sendiri, tetapi diperkuat oleh hadis Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dalam riwayat Ibnu Majah disebutkan:

“Tidak boleh membahayakan diri sendiri dan tidak boleh membahayakan orang lain.”

Ajaran ini menegaskan prinsip dasar dalam Islam bahwa setiap bentuk bahaya, baik terhadap diri sendiri maupun orang lain, harus dihindari. Oleh karena itu, tindakan menyakiti diri tidak memiliki ruang pembenaran dalam syariat.

Konsekuensi dari perbuatan zalim terhadap diri sendiri juga dijelaskan dalam berbagai dalil. Dalam Surah An Nisa ayat 168 disebutkan bahwa orang yang berbuat zalim tidak akan mendapat ampunan dan petunjuk dari Allah. Selain itu, dalam Surah Al Furqan ayat 19 ditegaskan bahwa pelaku kezaliman akan merasakan azab yang besar.

Lebih jauh lagi, ancaman yang lebih berat disampaikan dalam Surah An Nisa ayat 30:

“Dan barangsiapa berbuat demikian dengan melanggar hak dan aniaya, maka Kami kelak akan memasukkannya ke dalam neraka. Yang demikian itu adalah mudah bagi Allah.”

Tidak hanya itu, hadis riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim juga menggambarkan balasan yang setimpal bagi pelaku yang mengakhiri hidupnya dengan cara menyakiti diri. Rasulullah SAW bersabda bahwa siapa yang membunuh dirinya dengan suatu cara di dunia, maka ia akan disiksa dengan cara yang sama pada hari kiamat.
