JATIMTIMES - Tidak menggunakan eye shadow saat menghadiri acara penting bukan berarti tampilan makeup akan terlihat kurang maksimal. Justru, riasan tanpa permainan warna pada kelopak mata bisa tetap terlihat elegan asalkan penempatan fokus makeup dilakukan dengan tepat.

Makeup artist profesional Pao Hilda Afiani mengatakan, kunci utama dalam makeup adalah keseimbangan antara area mata, pipi, dan bibir. Ketiganya tidak harus tampil menonjol secara bersamaan karena justru bisa membuat wajah terlihat terlalu ramai.

“Dalam makeup itu ada pembagian fokus. Jadi, makeup mata, makeup pipi, dan makeup bibir tidak harus semuanya menonjol sekaligus,” kata Pao, Jumat (22/5/2026).

Menurut dia, saat seseorang memilih tampil tanpa eye shadow atau hanya menggunakan riasan mata yang minimalis, maka fokus tampilan bisa dialihkan ke area pipi dan bibir. Cara ini justru membuat makeup terlihat lebih modern dan effortless, tetapi tetap memberi kesan fresh dan glamor untuk acara formal.

“Kalau eye shadow-nya di-skip atau dibuat soft banget, berarti permainan warnanya bisa dipindah ke blush on dan lipstik,” imbuh Pao.

Pao menjelaskan, banyak orang masih menganggap warna mencolok identik dengan warna gelap seperti merah marun atau cokelat tua. Padahal, warna cerah dengan tone tertentu juga bisa memberikan efek standout tanpa terlihat berlebihan.

“Warna mentereng itu tidak selalu harus gelap. Warna peach terang, coral, pink segar, atau nude cokelat yang hangat juga bisa kelihatan hidup di wajah,” jelasnya.

Pemilihan warna juga harus disesuaikan dengan undertone kulit agar hasil makeup tetap harmonis. Untuk pemilik kulit sawo matang atau warm tone misalnya, warna-warna cokelat hangat, terracotta, peach kecokelatan, hingga brick orange bisa menjadi pilihan aman untuk blush maupun lipstik.

“Bisa tetap pakai nuansa cokelat, tapi pilih yang ada tone hangatnya supaya wajah tidak terlihat pucat,” tambahnya.

Tren makeup belakangan ini, lanjut Pao, memang lebih mengarah pada tampilan complexion sehat dengan permainan warna di pipi dan bibir dibandingkan riasan mata yang terlalu berat. Karena itu, banyak makeup look modern kini hanya memakai eyeliner tipis, maskara, dan bulu mata natural tanpa eye shadow tebal.

Menurut dia, teknik tersebut juga cocok diterapkan untuk berbagai acara penting seperti wisuda, pesta, hingga lamaran karena memberikan kesan elegan tanpa terlihat terlalu tua.

“Sekarang justru makeup yang clean dan fokus di blush sama lips lebih diminati karena wajah terlihat segar dan youthful,” terang Pao.

Selain warna, Pao juga menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan finishing makeup. Jika blush dan bibir sudah cukup bold, maka complexion sebaiknya dibuat lebih ringan agar hasil akhir tetap nyaman dipandang.

“Yang penting jangan semuanya dibuat berat. Makeup itu soal balance supaya fitur wajah tetap kelihatan cantik tanpa saling bertabrakan,” tutup Pao.
