JATIMTIMES – Rata-rata lama tinggal wisatawan, khususnya wisatawan mancanegara, di Kota Malang masih menjadi pekerjaan rumah bagi Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Malang. Saat ini, wisatawan tercatat hanya menghabiskan waktu sekitar 1,5 hari selama berkunjung ke Kota Pendidikan tersebut.

Kepala Disporapar Kota Malang Baihaqi mengatakan, durasi kunjungan tersebut sebenarnya sudah menunjukkan peningkatan dibandingkan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), rata-rata lama tinggal wisatawan sebelumnya hanya sekitar satu hari.

"Ini memang menjadi PR kita bersama sebagai ekosistem pelaku industri pariwisata. Berdasarkan laporan BPS, sekarang rata-rata lama tinggal sudah 1,5 hari. Sebelumnya masih satu hari," ujar Baihaqi.

Menurut dia, capaian itu setidaknya menunjukkan bahwa wisatawan kini mulai memilih menginap selama satu malam di Kota Malang. Namun, pemerintah tetap berupaya agar masa tinggal wisatawan bisa terus bertambah.

Untuk mencapai target tersebut, Disporapar mendorong peningkatan kualitas layanan pelaku industri pariwisata. Selain itu, pemerintah juga memperbanyak penyelenggaraan event yang mampu menarik minat wisatawan datang dan tinggal lebih lama.

Tak hanya itu, kampung-kampung wisata berbasis heritage dan destinasi ikonik juga terus diperkuat sebagai daya tarik baru. Baihaqi menilai keberadaan atraksi budaya di kawasan tersebut dapat memperpanjang aktivitas wisatawan selama berada di Kota Malang.

"Kami berupaya menghadirkan event yang bersifat tetap. Kemudian di kampung-kampung wisata ada suguhan tari dan atraksi budaya lainnya sehingga wisatawan memiliki lebih banyak pilihan kegiatan," katanya.

Disporapar juga menggandeng Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia (HPI) serta biro perjalanan wisata. Menurut Baihaqi, peran operator perjalanan sangat menentukan destinasi yang akan dikunjungi wisatawan selama berada di Malang.

"Kerja sama dengan HPI dan biro travel mutlak harus terus dilakukan. Karena mereka yang mengatur perjalanan wisatawan, sehingga kami berharap mereka juga bisa mendorong wisatawan tinggal lebih lama di Kota Malang," tegasnya.

Di sisi lain, Disporapar optimistis target kunjungan wisatawan tahun 2026 dapat tercapai. Hingga akhir tahun, Kota Malang membidik total kunjungan mencapai 3,4 juta wisatawan.

Baihaqi meyakini angka tersebut akan terdongkrak pada triwulan terakhir. Menurutnya, periode Oktober hingga Desember selalu menjadi puncak kunjungan wisata ke Kota Malang.

Sementara itu, untuk wisatawan mancanegara, hingga pertengahan 2026 jumlah kunjungan telah mencapai sekitar 17 ribu orang. Pemerintah berharap berbagai strategi yang disiapkan mampu meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan sekaligus memperpanjang lama tinggal wisatawan di Kota Malang.
